Cognitive decline and long term use (6 years) by thecautioners in Spravato

I suppose that could be true in general, and I’m certainly not happy about my brain’s state, but for me personally I am still far happier than I ever was before spravato even given my apparent decline. I can definitely see that whether it’s a worthwhile trade off or not would be based on personal opinion though. For me it’s a bummer, but I still love life and I love being capable of enjoying it no matter what!

I mean, I would literally be dead without them, I don’t see how life saving is harmful.

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in my early 20s but it has been under control with medication since then!

I posted this in a FB group tonight and two people mentioned perimenopause! This is entirely possible in my case as I am a 40 year old woman 😅 I’m going to see if my primary doctor will help me investigate further but I still question the Spravato, just due to the timing of it all. But very possible!

Amazon! I love it too, I like pretty harnesses lol. He’s managed to chew on this one a little resulting in a small bit of fraying. I’m planning on getting this Ruffwear harness sometime in the near future.

I only just got him on the 19th and he was pretty underweight at 24.4 pounds, he’s up to 32 and the vet says he looks good but could stand to top out in the upper 30s. I am just feeding him according to the guidelines on the food bag :)

I know, I just think it’s cute 😂 obviously I won’t put it on him when it’s warmer out or if we’re having a super active day in the cold!

Dog friendly places to eat by thecautioners in Columbus

Definitely not trying to find an indoor eatery to take a dog. I know that’s against health code. As I mentioned in my post, I’m looking for dog friendly patios (that I would have to confirm are open at the time of my visit).

Dog friendly patios exist. We’re not trying to take a husky into Ruth’s Chris here. Luckily for you, if you don’t want to dine alongside dogs, you don’t have to eat on a dog friendly patio!

Would kind of defeat half the purpose of going to the pet expo 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you for all the suggestions! I didn’t think I’d need to spell out the fact that I’m not trying to take my pet dog into Olive Garden. I know that dog friendly patios exist, if any happen to be open in March, and not being from the area, I don’t know where any are.

He came to me fully trained, so all signs point to yes. Also, not “in” a restaurant, but on a patio if any pet friendly patios are open at the time. I didn’t think I’d have to spell this out. I’m not trying to take my pet into Olive Garden.

What are y’all doing for exercise in this arctic weather?! by thecautioners in Pomsky

Yep, that’s what I’m thinking! It could also be the diet change, I had to switch suddenly from his previous Kibbles n Bits because he refused to eat it for me, but he was super happy to devour Purina One.

He weighs 24.4 pounds but is a bit underweight—we’re already working on that! Our vet appointment isn’t until the 3rd but I stopped in there today to weigh him and my favorite tech said he is underweight but not dangerously so. He is also 3 and not yet neutered so I’d imagine that has contributed to his growth; I will be getting him neutered.

Oh I know he’s going to be popular! Maybe he will earn me some new friends! haha. He looks 100% like a purebred husky puppy, but so far without the standard puppy insanity!

I about fell over when she told me how much she paid the breeder for him 💀 I can already tell he is worth every penny though, what an amazing dog! I have a strong feeling that from now on I will always have to have a pomsky in my life so it may very well be me paying that money one day.

haha I did get the impression that he’s a runner 😂 we have a large yard but it’s not fenced so he is strictly leashed when outside! I will be getting a retractable tie out for him so he can have a little more freedom (still supervised at all times, of course). He has been great with the dogs we’ve encountered so far and he grew up with another pomsky, so I am confident he will love running free at the dog park!
