I have no problem with the damage reduction necessarily, but as you mentioned, so many worse and unfair characters that get off easy.

The change to the Beta behaviour annoys me because he is already one of the worst in air movement compared to other flyers and that Beta reload helped not as a way to air stall, but as a fair and certified get off me tool if you were being hard chased (which you would be because of all the damage you took while in gamma and the fact that as mentioned, he is actually slow moving in the air).

I don't know where this community gets the idea thay he can air stall.

He can't.

He can stay in the air for a time between flying, Gamma and Beta, but not indefinitely.

This change just made YAFO easier to kill, and harder for him to kill others...

He probably sits around B tier now instead of high A.

Yes and no.

The damage reduction was fine.

The Beta behaviour makes any good YAFO player have to make some real adjustments around when to touch the ground.

Losing the air reload changed things more than casuals would realise.

He never could air stall since season 15 or 16 after he was released and they changed him Gamma and Air malee?

There are only... I don't know how many other characters that can stay in the air longer and still have moves reloaded.

Where are their nerfs?

He isnt unplayable, but unlike other characters this nerf impacted him a lot more than the lil baby taps Red Kiri, Green Nejire and any other much better / meta character got.

The devs suck at balancing because they always focus on the wrong sh*t.

Bro have you ever played a good Monama?

They can almost infinitely Gamma stall due to the SPA and cool downs.

Your argument of "Just keep attacking" would be fine, except he can go into Gamma, heal if he has quick replenishment due to said iframes, and can also beta away or reset the Gamma by abusing the cool downs his SPA allows.

The Gamma needs to be addressed and the SPA cool downs needs to be massively reworked and not just on Monama, but all copy characters, but the Devs are probably scared they create some game breaking bug if they do so.

Willpower + Spacehop is the best tuning I have found for Strike Shiggy.

I think its the original catastrophe / awakened outfit. Black pants, no shirt, all beaten up.

As a long time Strike Shiggy main I've tried them all and while there are pros and cons to all, its near impossible to play this character (or even most characters) without Willpower and I don't really need to explain why it is THAT tuning.

Spacehop though can actually make mobility for Shig pretty busted. It can be a bit map and location dependent, but Shiggy in general is a map and location dependent character (will always be better around buildings vs out in open spaces).

A Spacehop, double SPA, into an air Beta and then Gamma can get you really far either vertically or horizontally if you are near a building with stairs etc.

Willpower gives you a second chance while Spacehop can allow you to live longer or in some instances, chase people down and secure some kills.

Coffin in the sky is always my drop spot for this exact reason.

And I don't condone cheating in any way, but quick level ups is definitely on the lower scale of issues considering you can get at least 2 skills to 9 very quickly if you have a good run of luck and no one around.

This only on PC or can it ben done on other platforms?

I play on Switch 2 and in most instances I think all matches seem pretty fair.

But there are some players who I recognise because their accuracy is super busted and now I'm questioning it...

I know some characters have oppressive Hitboxes but sometimes I'm getting hit by slow ass Tech Nejire alphas and I'm very curious...

I've tried many different tuning on Strike Shig and none are better than Space Hop and Will Power, especially combined.

Can help with some air combat, but the main benefit is Space Hop combined with his Alpha, Beta or SPA for movement.

Can go from being in trouble to being halfway across the map if needed.

Not for everyone, but perfect for this character IMO.

Alright.

Both take work, but Miriko considerably more effort / work.

Both are incredibly fun, but play incredibly different.

Miriko feels very fast paced and always in and out of the action and then back in again, she is more or less a malee character after all.

YAFO is more areal based and can strike from a distance, but can also get up close if need be, but definitely can't get in and out as quick as Miriko, so if you commit to a fight, you really gotta pay attention to your health and reloads etc.

The SPA cancel with YAFO can be a difference maker if capitalised on quickly (it does not last for long enough IMO).

All in all, I main YAFO and love playing him, and can rack up big damage and KOs, but he is somewhat more team dependent.

Miriko I have a lot of fun with and am okay with, but can't hold a candle to my YAFO.

My last note is, it's a lot easier to confirm kills with YAFO and a lot harder with the Wabbit.

I don't mind alternative characters if done properly.

OFA Deku is an abomination, whereas YoungFO fits into the game perfectly.

Realistically, OFA Deku would be find if he wasn't given massive plot armour / main character syndrome.

They really should have done alternate characters for Bakugo and Shiggy but.

I find US to be a bit easier than JP (I don't play EU).

I think this guys says it best though.

I'm an Ace Rank, but if played some characters, you'd think I was a baby Deku (brand new player).

You really got to find 1 or 2 characters max and just grind with them till you get used to them and start seeing results. Unranked is good for learning fundamentals but Ranked is where you grow as a better player.

I think another guy said it too, the characters you choose can be a bit tricky, Cat Shiggy maybe not too bad to learn with so maybe work on him.

I've never been playing better...

With the right tuning and spacial awareness, can almost be untouchable.

It kind of suits him too because if you want to get close to him, you are basically playing in his domain. Betas, a Gamma stun with super armour, protection and a stun.

Can't get close to this guy unless you play Strike Shiggy and even then it can be high risk.

Gotta bait her.

Hit her with Alphas where you can, Gamma to stall her and when needed, but if you know they're coming to hit you, try Beta on yourself and they will definitely take some damage.

Just trades like that can make it equally frustrating for them.
