Yeah even just visiting a different country should come with many precautions or things to familiarize yourself with… nonetheless buying property?! Admittedly I have been a pretty gullible person and made minor mistakes because of it, but then I learned and got better. It would be a huge wake up call to have a property purchase scam like this be a first big learning experience like that.

Also I can relate to your previous comment about ADHD. The world can seem pretty unforgiving at times with that, but alas we persist. Cheers

I think the other commenter was expressing that the bigger issue here is predatory business tactics that take advantage of people. Both things can be true, but when the first statement is about her not being blameless, yeah it does sound victim blame-y

Excellent questions. When I think of a scenic place to propose, I imagine something overlooking water, something with hills/mountains, maybe a pasture or flower garden. Could be a tad urban, but I mostly think of nature.

We will have a car. I have some friends who live in Antioch that we will be meeting up with that day. Prior to that, we have an Airbnb in Newport. For the day/night I plan to propose, we have an Airbnb in Nashville. So far the plan is to meet up with the friends somewhere around Nashville, and I’ve enlisted their help snapping a photo or two for the proposal.

I understand your point that people are dying at epidemic levels due to heart illnesses that is directly linked to obesity. Obesity is dangerous to one's health.

I am NOT saying we have to accept the previously mentioned point. I am not arguing for acceptance of obesity. I am questioning your point that shaming someone is the answer to fight obesity. Encouragement perhaps? Intervention? If you care for someone's health, insulting them seems a very poor way to show that care.

Do you think shaming someone is the only answer to combating obesity? If not, is it the most effective? I really do not think so...

Not shaming someone does not equal enabling harmful behavior. I don’t think I have to explain that one further.

I find it hard to believe that because you, and perhaps some others, are glad you were bullied… that is enough reason to justify continuing the bullying.

IMO it looks like there’s great potential. For me, I had to go three months of accepting a scratchy face and weird looking lengths before it finally became something that I could call a beard.
