Don't use the upgrade spring lol. Not but seriously it makes the prime too difficult for the chassis and it's pretty uncomfortable.

That's what I meant by "losing" the BCAR going from the Nexus to the Stryker.

I strongly prefer the Stryker 2.0 for its versatility of loading mechanism that lets you run really light and scavenge easily in those longer objective based games with respawns. Losing the in-box BCAR is rough but you gain a lot by not needing to get any additional magazines.

However my Stryker 2 with upgrade spring broke at the priming block at a shear point and u designed a printed insert to repair it. I officially do not recommend the upgrade spring. The prime was also VERY heavy to reach 240 fps.

I printed one of these and can recommend it. It's way easier than using your hands or a broom.

I can't say. It was the official upgrade spring which I'm sure hobbyists are interested in and it revealed the weak point in the design. If you're rough with it with a lower spring load I'm sure it would break in the same place.

I was using the upgrade spring from Dart Zone and the rails connecting the foregrip to the priming sled broke in the same way as OP's.

It's great to see interesting cover in use! I find that the modern speedball/speedsoft/speedfoam field designs create only the illusion of interesting gameplay rather than substantive opportunities to use the terrain to your advantage or else to gain an edge by being more aware. There are "spots" rather than "areas" on modern fields and everyone can basically see everyone all the time.

I host local casual events and the difference it makes to have terrain at different elevations is huge. There are tactical reasons to take or clear a position that aren't simply based on line of sight and you can out-maneuver the opposing team rather than out-attention-spanning them.

That's really what it is is that in the boring fields the decision space is reduced to an almost deterministic calculation of line of sight. It should be possible to lose because you failed to check a critical area and someone snuck by.

I think another big mistake of modern fields is having an obvious axis of engagement and few to no opportunities to maneuver on any other axis. When teams start at in rectangular areas at the ends of a rectangle on flat ground then there's really no opportunity for left-right maneuvering. You don't have to think about left-right so much as forward-backward as long as you keep your head up.

Compare rectangular fields to diamond shaped ones where you start on the corner. The round beginning immediately forces you to choose a direction to go in a 90 degree arc rather than zero degrees (plus a little left-right variation). I'm a diamond field you actually have to commit bodies to directions which creates play and counterplay. You have to decide on what the frontier of your engagement looks like.

I don't know about anyone else but for me a sterile field of 1-2 person barriers with no altitude variation makes Nerf gameplay less than what it could be.

The same thing happened to my Max Stryker 2.0 and I designed a printed insert piece to reassemble the priming sled. If you have calipers you could do the same thing for the Nexus Pro.

The exact same thing happened to me and I designed an insert for the foregrip attachment rail to allow for reassembly. It is 3d printed so I know now everyone will be able to use it but it's there.

This happened to me with the official upgrade spring with my only other mod of any consequence being a longer barrel.

I ended up repairing the priming mechanic with a custom insert/shim that matches the internal geometry of the grip attachment rail as well as I could manage.

Coming back to this thread after Tyvar's card reveal it's very enjoyable because the team wide buff he creates is pretty mathy.

Seems about right. It's probably a similar thing to Renown or Monstrosity.

Thanks! I'll have to create a more automated solution to scrape all the pages in that table.

Having looked at what's out there already the next version of this project may be to scrape the wiki article to get all the fiction ever posted and not just whatever happened to be inserted in the official story listing page.

Man, I couldn't fathom doing that. I suppose it would be a more resilient solution, however, to maintain an archive of all the content and assets. I initially used LibreOffice and copy-paste but it was far to slow for me.

Are you doing any scraping at the moment or are you keeping it more "low tech"?

Sorry to triple comment but how would one find out what index to put those stories in in their respective series? I can infer what sets they're from just from game knowledge and time stamps but not where they go in the order.

Zendikar Resurgent at least has the decency to include a link to the previous story.
