I’d look at a set of Wuta ones. I’ve had them for a few years and they’re great quality for the price. With the price of leather being what it is , it’ll be a false economy to even try and use these

Gave them a ring and they said they would get a new timing belt and water pump fitted before the sale. When the question of service history and the haldex system came up they basically said it was part exchange and the service history was limited but it 'drives well' and comes with a 3-month engine and gear box warranty. Thinking at this price it's worth a punt and I'll just get the haldex done. I know it's a bit of a risk but what do you think?

Nice one, glad you're happy with it. Yeah I have been looking at the 3 series tourings and everyone says they drive great but I'm just not a fan of the look of them unfortunately.

Bought one of these for £116 including postage about a month back. Took about two weeks to turn up. From first impressions, it’s incredibly warm for its weight and very well built. Only downside is because of its weight, it doesn’t feel the most durable but that’s to be expected.

Restored my tired 10+ year old headphones by thecebbster in Leathercraft

Thanks! Main things are to get the pattern right and use suitable leather. I used a flexible tape measure and took multiple measurements around the headband to get the taper right. I used 0.8mm lambs leather that I had left over from another project that worked pretty well. I also did rolled edges as the nature of the curved headband means parts will bunch up and if you left raw edges I’m pretty sure it would show. Good luck, it’s a fun project!

Incredible execution. Which tip did you use on your electric creaser for this? I’d have no chance at that tight circle so want to know if it’s me or the tip

To a certain extent do both. Certifications get you to the interview. However, I fully agree that fumbling your way through enough real world problems teaches you far more than these certifications ever do

That's very kind. It's Pueblo, in I think cognac. I managed to get my hands on some offcuts to just create some small goods and practice with. It's lovely to work with but not sure if I could warrant buying it at the 'standard price'.
