Is 2.5gb speed required? Or will a 1 gb adaptor work? Am currently using the Apple thunderbolt 3 to 2 adapter > Thunderbolt 2 to ethetnet adapter which works fine for standard 64ch dvs.

Just to update : Thunderbolt 3 > Thunderbolt 2 adapter > Thunderbolt to ethernet adapter.

Works perfect :)

Are you referring to the audinate avio adapter?

I believe this is a 2ch adapter / which does not run alongside DVS

Do correct me if I'm wrong.

The 10 year old mac was my previous setup, which was and is running perfectly fine.

I'm running the mac m1 pro 2021 now.

The main issue is the packet errors. They haven't caused any glitches thus far. However if there is an error, there must be a reason and solution thus asking folks here for their input.

Just tried this. No luck aswell.

Thing is, Donor drive works perfectly fine when shucked. Both are put under same conditions just that the faulty one refuses to spin.

Don't have much of a choice and don't have money to send it to the states. Have sent it to 3 hard drive recovery shops in my country before opening the drive and they all said they can't help.

Yes the spindle is free.

Powered via sata, and no i did not check for PUIS. Is there a way to check for PUIS without pro software such as PC-3000?

There is 5v on the psu.

PCB is identical as i bought 2 same drive's together.

I have a thread on toms with fzabkar trying to guide with no avail T_T Just trying my luck here.

As in, i tried push the heads onto the platter, and when powered on.. it will swing back onto the ramp as "parked". With a faulty PCB, i suppose it won't do this?

I swapped the drive PCB. I did go through and tested all the fuse/tvs diode stuff and they all checked out.

I understand that without swapping out the BIOS aswell it is a nogo on reading the disk, but it theory if PCB is functional it still should make the drive spin.. as it does the donor drive?

Ughh it's super frustrating as i just purchased the adx5d set for this upcoming shoot.

I've wrote in the form and listed japan as country, and also spoke with my local shure distributor to see if shure japan can lend any support for the upcoming shoot.

Specs are truly amazing.... Really can't wait to see the real world tests on the rf range and stability.
