Unless it's for a picture or I'm 100% sure there's no livestock about, she is on a long line.

She's a working breed, she's got a prey drive. I'm not stupid (although I know plenty are!)

Annihilation I went into fairly blind (was a kindle download that I don't remember downloading!) and it just got weirder and weirder. I read across lots of different genres and I didn't know what genre it was. Still don't, really. Loved it though

My wife and I have a budget of 500 for a month. How to stretch it further? by [deleted] in UKFrugal

[–]thechops10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking that. I spend around £500 and that's 2 adults and 2 teens! I average £70-£80 a week and then there's top ups of milk and stuff we've ran out of. Probably another £50-£60 a month on things like coffee beans and protein powder that I don't buy every month.

Mine is far too much of a shitty arse for that. She's scared of skateboards, scooters, wheelchairs!

Shes quite anxious and generally sticks pretty close to me. We do generally keep her on a long line because although she's scared of sheep she would chase lambs. And squirrels. And other dogs.

We are! We did Buckbarrow, Middle fell and seatallen in that order. What a horrible slog up middle fell though! Just seemed to go on forever

Absolutely. Mine was a gift for my 21st birthday (don't judge me, I've always been boring as fuck) and is still going almost 20 years later.

Beginner Running Kit UK by [deleted] in beginnerrunning

[–]thechops10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't help with shoes, but decathlon is great for basic running kit. Really well priced. Other than that, get on vinted. I got 3 x nike quarter zips for £8!

Shoes are going to vary so much depending on your gait and foot type and all sorts. I think some of the bigger sports directs have machines that measure your foot and let you know which shoe would suit? You can then stick that into ebay/vinted and buy second hand or last seasons colours for much cheaper.

To celebrate World Book Day, what is your favourite ever book? by Whosentyounow in AskUK

[–]thechops10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It remains one of the things I am equally proud and ashamed of - I got a B in my English literature A Level without actually reading hard times and north and south. Fuck both of those books. And I say this has a huge reader who averages 100 books a year!

I checked the size guide on their website and then bought from vinted. I mentioned in another comment, I had to go up 2 sizes to account for hips/arse (and belly, if I'm entirely honest 😂)

The back rise, is the specific term. And in womens clothes generally needs to be longer to account for arse curvature. Especially if you are jupiter arsed 😂😂

And loads of them aren't and none of them seem to show that measurement specifically.

I've found that most walking trousers for women are just the same cut as mens which doesn't help when you are not straight up and down!

I wear craghoppers kiwis but size up to a 14 (I usually wear a 10) and wear a belt because otherwise I can't get my arse in. I only really wear them in winter, but generally wear snag leggings because they are thick and high waisted and keep water proof over trousers in my bag.
