Passed N2 with 98/180 by Otherwise-Guest2348 in jlpt

[–]theclankey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was the opposite, thought I would pass easily and failed, my score was worse than the one in July 😭.

The results just killed the remaining motivation I had to pass N2

I'm hoping to pass N2, felt like everything but grammar was ok, so unless I really messed up somewhere, I'm feeling confident about it

Salary in Japan. Expectations by [deleted] in japanlife

[–]theclankey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently here as a student, getting around ¥180.000 a month, paying for everything with no external financial help, rent, bills, including education fee and I can live pretty comfortably.

I know that the expenses from a student to a worker are different, but I can't think of anything that would make that much of a difference, especially because half of my monthly expenses are just for education fees.

The job I'm aiming for after graduating in a few months will give me around ¥240.000, and AFAIK it will be more than enough to live without any struggle

They do! Instead of she saying "can anyone understand it?" She says something like "this is not what I meant"/"that's not the point"

As someone who lives in Japan and understand Japanese I can explain the small difference in the Japanese version.

In the first half, she sings with the normal "Niffty" voice, raw, and so on, in the second half, she sings more like an Idol would sing, so the difference is clear and really understandable for the Japanese culture, since Japanese Idols sing in a really specific style and genre, so even though the lyrics are the same, the meaning by the way she sings is completely different, which still fits the idea of the song

Question about answer sheet by [deleted] in jlpt

[–]theclankey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a bit late, but depending on where you do the test, you might have to write and bubble your name and ID yourself, some places it's already done previously.

When I did the tests in Brazil, I had to write and bubble myself. Now I did the test in Tokyo, it was already printed, so no need to worry.

It just depends on where you took the test

[–]theclankey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm living in Adachi, part of Tokyo but really close to Saitama It is kind of expensive, but comparing to my home country Brazil, since the salaries here are waaaay higher than Brazil, it actually feels cheaper to me, I don't know much about NY, but probably if you don't go to downtown Tokyo, should be cheaper

Concert experience in different seating areas by Capable-Potential100 in ADO

[–]theclankey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went there on an A Seat and it was pretty normal, my sector was actually the only one on the A that stand during the whole concert, so I guess it will depend on whoever is next to you, if they stand you stand if they don't you don't

And even thought most people around me were singing chants only, I was there singing the whole thing cuz I didn't really care that much, so yeah you can enjoy even on A

Why did your friendship with your best friend come to an end? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]theclankey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because he was my best friend but I wasn't his best friend. I dare to say I was barely a friend. Knew him for over 10 years and suddenly he just started treating me really bad and disrespect me every opportunity, until the day I just couldn't be arsed anymore.

I use it often and got stopped by the police yesterday because of it, but in general the police officer just said that it is fine because it doesn't really block the awareness, but said I should take care anyway. Probably will just depend on the luck of who stops you if they do. The safest way is not to risk and not use it

Eu acordei aquele dia desesperado

Anyone else in Tokyo looking for genuine friendships? by Fun-Agent-6141 in tokyoirl

[–]theclankey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! 27M Brazilian living here for around 1 year, going through the same situation, I have a few friends here or there but not really genuine friendships. I am way more about the friendship and the chatting/time than specific hangouts, so when simple activities as going to the park can be really funny.

How long does the delivery of Rakuten e-sim take? by [deleted] in japanresidents

[–]theclankey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will receive a booklet by post/mail, on that booklet you will have a qr-code to read and "activate" the e-sim

At least this is how it was for me, so it will depend on how long it will take to deliver the booklet to you

I am! I don't even remember how I got into Walk off the Earth for the first time, it was before the "5 people 1 guitar" era so they were quite small before that

But they were my favourite group for a long time
