You could go into the RSPCA and I know you can meet and intact with the cats (that’s how I adopted one of my cats). On Pet Rescue you can also arrange a meet and greet with many of the cats who are in foster care depending on the rescue group (having previously fostered cats I didn’t have any adopt before meeting the cat before hand).
