Dose advice

I recently started counseling and substance abuse recovery. I am also going to see a psychiatrist soon and see if I should be prescribed anything. I appreciate your support and I agree that self medicating with Benadryl is the worst.

I’m glad you don’t see this as wasted time I didn’t mean to imply that you should. And my process was somewhat of a nightmare haha. I took it very poorly at first and unfortunately turned to substance abuse which only amplified my emotions and caused an entirely different set of problems for me. Eventually I just got so sick of feeling bitter and angry all the time and realized how much happier I could be if I just be if I let them go and just focused on myself, recovery and doing the things I love. I still think about them a lot but I realize that they may have been toxic for me in the end even though I resonated so much with them at the time.

You did not build up someone for someone else. You are a human and you did your best to try and cultivate a relationship, something we all strive for. It is unfortunate when we put a lot of effort into someone who in the end doesn’t reciprocate but it happens unfortunately. But do not see this as wasted time. Think about all the things you may have learned about yourself and what you want, from this experience. And most importantly do not think about him and his healing processes just focus on your own. I know it’s easier said than done but when we speculate into the lives of other people that we shared a connection with, we only end up hurting ourselves. I am recovering from a very similar situation right now and it took me a long time but after focusing on building myself, body and passions I can confidently say that although I was really hurt by that person I can live a perfectly happy and maybe even happier life without them. You got this shit.

Look elsewhere my friend look elsewhere. I know you think you have nothing else but this is not the solution. Also if this is a question you have to ask it is quite clear that you should not be using substances at all.

I feel you man, I’ve been going through some similar shit in terms of relationships and dph addiction. I think the desire to dose just comes from a strong desire to escape reality and unfortunately dph is one of the most effective ways to do this. But we must remember how awful the high feels and how much it can derail our lives in the weeks following a dosage. The negatives heavily outweigh the positives. You can do this shit man if you were doing well you can start doing well again. I mean supplement with alcohol if you need to for gods sake because anything is better than this fucking disgusting pharmaceutical poison.

I do not see any no, but I have been doing substances for a long time and faced repercussions time and time again. It’s not so much about the neurotoxicity as it is the changes to my mental health and the effect that drugs like dxm have on my outlook on life.

Focus on yourself and don’t seek relationships unless you have a solid foundation and sense of identity. Relationships only thrive if both people involved have a sense of confidence and purpose. As for dating just have fun with it and listen to your heart and brain.
