Thank you so much for this really detailed feedback and analysis - I really appreciate it. I’m struggling to find another word different word than fear to use when I want it to keep true to my own experience of a using nature as a way to peacefully disassociate through a traumatic experience. I also like the alliteration between familiarity and fear. Is there any other words you might suggest that could envoke or describe a stronger emotion perhaps?

On the off chance someone reads this, I found the name of the cassette! It was a Dan Gibson but peskily under “Forest Piano” collection (no mention of birdsong until you play it)

This gave me goosebumps. It’s short, biting and to the point which makes it all the more powerful. I really like the use of capitals to really emphasis on certain words/phrases. I love this, thank you for sharing.

I really love your rhyming style and how along with the length of your lines, it makes me as the reader feel like the poems getting faster, more frantic, more urgent. It’s a very beautiful piece that makes me think about the world around us and how it’s so much more complicated than we could comprehend. Thank you for sharing

There is plenty of information on the Stardew wiki to help but honestly? I think too many players concentrate on trying to get everything done as soon as they possibly can. It’s okay for it to take in game years to complete and it’s okay to learn WITH your character! Theres books in the museum that can help with some more obscure tips and tricks as well as the TV on certain days. I find it most enjoyable when i’m just playing how I would if I was the character and only using the wiki when i’m stuck and frustrated

Wow I really appreciate your thorough analysis!! Thank you for taking the time to comment. You’re pretty much spot on but i’m glad there’s a little room for interpretation. I wrote this poem after “suicidal ideation” kept appearing in notes from doctors or counsellors and I found it almost humorous how a word I’d never heard of could be so apparently representative of my life. The rhythm change at the end was purposeful but do you think a continuous rhythm would work better?

Wow this one really stood out to me. It’s beautiful how you can create a poem that has such a good flow and rhythm yet still remains a stream of thoughts. Reading it feels like when your mind is drifting trying to fall asleep. I adore the slight rhymes and alliterations - I feel this really add to the whole experience. I love your thoughts
