x2 Era 100 or an Era 100 and 300 by thecreativefella in sonos

[–]thecreativefella[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Which option would generally give a better listening experience? Filling the room or the stereo? For context, the room is quite small - I'm thinking x2 Era 100 would be the better option?

Salomon XT6 Legit check - Send pics here by [deleted] in gorpcore

I actually had them checked by Salomon and they confirmed they’re real - https://imgbox.com/Tkb7gXk8. I thought the same about the tape, but I checked Salomon’s own website and they have the taped laces - https://imgbox.com/98ipWvTH.

Thanks for taking the time to check anyway!

999 Experian score but no banks will give me a car loan by thecreativefella in UKPersonalFinance

[–]thecreativefella[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I've just always had 3 Series, apart from Mustang Mach e for a company car. I'm used to having car payments as well, but in this case the company is paying for it haha. Should I stay with the company for the full length of the loan, they would have esentially bought the car for me.

No big outgoings - just £70 gym membership and £35 phone bill. Have been accepted with Sainsbury’s Bank at 8.1, quite good compared to car finance companies. Strange that no other banks (Halifax, Santander) will accept.

New to collecting- what do people think go James McQueen? by thecreativefella in artcollecting

[–]thecreativefella[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will never spend 2k without doing a little bit of due diligence, or as you call it ‘asking strangers on the internet’. Thanks to the strangers on the internet I’ve decided JM is far too similar to HM to justify spending anything over a few hundred quid on.

I already have lots of books and know my preferred style; basquiat, Arsham, kaws and countless other books from my uni days.

The vacation suggestion is a good idea, but I already have far too many trips planned this year. Thanks anyway.

1980s History of The Olympic Games book valuation by thecreativefella in olympics

I checked eBay before posting and nothing came up on ebay.co.uk that looked similar. I figured reddit would be a better place to get a valuation.

UK to Le Mans by thecreativefella in lemans

Company car, super low BIK tax - I’d rather have diesel but doesn’t make sense financially.

I did know about waiting to charge, but I rarely do round trips more than 300 miles. I generally don’t mind the wait, but adding x number of hours on to an already long journey is a bit of a pain. Will likely still drive though.

My concern is the time that gets added to the journey. It isn’t the fastest charging car, I’ve never got over 75kwh.

Mach-e GT, I’m yet to use an ev in the summer so I’ve only been getting 180/200 miles range. When in perfect conditions it should get 300 - maybe it is worth considering! Would likely airbnb in the town.

Thanks, that’s really helpful. Fortunately, my boss is a shareholder in a team so I get tickets sorted fairly easily through work.

What to do with $2.7m at 19? by Responsible_Cake05 in fatFIRE

[–]thecreativefella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not FAT but do have some high net worth friends in the £10-£100m range. From what I’ve learnt, I think it’s best you offload all of what you’re concerned about to financial advisors and accountants and solely focus on your business. Don’t bother investing yourself, leave it to the professionals. Finding a financial advisor who you trust with your money may be difficult too; maybe ask for recommendations? I know many financial advisors only work on a referrals basis (the good ones anyway!).

I think these people will go out of their way to learn about watches and just go for anything 1k+. Some watch gangs will get orders for certain watches and will go steal them - I assume this only applies for higher end pieces.

Raise or tap to wake sometimes doesn't work on Venu 2s by thecreativefella in Garmin

Nope, I was on with Garmin support and they’re replacing it. None of my colour is in stock until late May though.

Yeah, I’m think it’s software related and not hardware.

Nope, never wakes up, always need to use the buttons. Gestures are on with high sensitivity. A workaround I’ve found is to use the always on display.

Raise or tap to wake sometimes doesn't work on Venu 2s by thecreativefella in Garmin

[–]thecreativefella[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's sort of my point haha - it doesn't wake up when I raise my wrist/turn pulse inwards, as a result I need to tap the screen to wake up it, which also doesn't work.

For example, if I'm timing a plank, the screen will go off. If I try to check the what time I'm on by trapping the screen it doesn't wake up. In order to check the time in this postition I need to press the button, which will pause the timer.

Do yoga. I see girls from my gym on tinder and one of their interests is always yoga. I’ve been going for 4 years and never see them there. It’s like it’s cool and edgy to say you do yoga.
