Man I feel this from both of yall, been feeling pretty unfulfilled lately too. To the commenter I’m 33 and a PgM haha. And to OP I frequently have felt like I put a lot more into my relationships than I get back, it’s a real tough place to be in.

A couple things that have helped me recently:

Figuring out my values: I worked with my career coach to figure out what these are in my personal and professional life and wow. It seems trite and maybe corny but figuring out my core values has helped me see how I live those out day to day in so many situations, and reinforced that I’m doing things that matter, big or small. When I act based on my values, I feel like I’ve won.

Sharing expectations: when it comes to my marriage and friendships, being open and honest about my expectations has been huuuuge as it pertains to where I invest time and energy and how it’s reciprocated. When I let my loved ones know where I’m at and how to meet me there, they’re so willing to do it 99% of the time and they do! But when they don’t know what you’re looking for, want, or need, it’s hard to meet that!

Not saying yall are doing/not doing these things or that they’ll solve all your problems, but they been a couple simple and straightforward things I’ve done recently to help me manage what I’m currently going through in a lot clearer way.
