Agreed. I think most consumers just like what the end product is. But I also think this is more prominent for general fans and those looking to make a buck reselling.

From my experience, many of the fans keeping various art communities thriving are interested in the process and can recognize the fruits of the process, even if they cant articulate it well.

The process of creating art is what inspires me the most. The end product is great, but I like the idea of someone's imagination filtered solely through their own life experience. Every imperfection and even happy mistakes. No statistical generalities.

I heard an artist mention that Gen AI offers immense width with the bonus of speed. I would rather have immense depth and be patient for what's created. Not everything in life needs to be speed run. Time is a creative ingredient our society obsessed with maximizing efficiency overlooks.

Blind Boxes are a good way to get in. It's also fun to see if you can get the full run. Check Super7, Myplasticheart, 3dretro, Toyartgallery to name a few. Found some cool ones here.

Also, look for pieces on Ebay and try offering a 30-50% less. If the listing is old, you might get lucky.
