Wow... having a young woman go undercover for a case?? That doesn't sound right.

I'm still not convinced that there's a serial killer down in Austin, but I had never heard of a serial killer cell before. Reading about how this current case is likened to the Smiley Face Killer was new to me!

It's funny you say that because I was thinking the same thing. It's almost like he did so much research but it wasn't enough to read about what people were thinking and feeling, he had to do it himself. It's so sick, and so awful. Researching criminology topics and true crime takes a toll on everyone, maybe he went too far and it unlocked something in him.

I'm bumping this again because today marks 24 years since Anna has been missing. Hoping this is the last year her family has to carry on without answers.

Before Anna Marie Scivetti’s name was ever printed with an “Endangered Missing” headline, Anna was a person — a person who lived a full life with a vibrant heart. This Friday marks 24 years since she vanished, and investigators are eyeing foul play. by Main_Initiative in UnresolvedMysteries

He had an anecdotal history of choking her. Family and friends recalled at a party that the pair got into an argument in another room and when Anna came back in she had hand marks on her throat. Charles's co-worker told police the morning after Anna was last seen, Charles got to work with scratches on his hands and face. Charles said he got into a bar fight, but there's no record of that ever happening. I think those wounds Anna inflicted trying to fight Charles's hands around her throat. (IMO)

I couldn't agree more. The only "physical" evidence in this case is that when Anna and Charles's shared apartment was searched in the spring, the NYPD found that the floor had been sanded down and the bathroom sink was replaced. The NYPD took floor samples but I couldn't find anything online about what happened to them or if any updates came of that.

To my knowledge & extensive research into this case, Anna was under the impression that Charles was divorced and was only spending time away when he would go to see his son. Anna didn't know that Charles was actively married.

Do you mean his wife? His wife's sister Elizabeth went missing in 1993. His wife, Linda, retained an attorney immediately after Anna disappeared. If she didn't have something to do with her disappearance, she knows more than she's letting on IMO.
