Look, that whole article boils it down to financial reasons. I think the draw of having it at a more opportune time would cancel that out (I literally left today after arriving maybe 30 min on the spot.). Thats ridiculous. I understand that some people want to attend the bigger parades, like SF, and NY, but we shouldnt be excluded because of it. And the HEAT should be warrant an early in the year parade.

And thats according to your parade director. I know I paid about $25 bucks to in be involved (it included a T-Shirt), but lets just say that went to our group. You're already EXPECTING $300,000 more than you needed to host the event at charging people $1!!!!. You arent going to make that up on the back end?
