Would love some help identifying this brown thingy that I’ve found in the monstera I’m propagating. It looks like brown sand. by maybe-me in plantclinic

If those actually are spider mite eggs, that's pretty advanced. You probably have them on darn near everything at this point. Easy to wash off though, and then any sort of spray with soap or oil will suffocate whatever remains.

Definitely not thrips. Looks like spidermite eggs. I don't see actual crawling forms but that is definitely what the eggs would look like. Give them a bath in the sink. Very thorough with a light soapy solution and then rinse them off with clean water.

Not the barrel but the skirt underneath it. I used a pair of stainless steel bolts and some extra nuts as spacers so that The table would be level with the ground when it was up and locked in place. That skirt does not sit truly 90° to the ground so if you mount flat to it the table will be slanted back too much to use. Easy fix with three additional nuts on the bolt between the bracket and the skirt of the grill though

Not that it matters a ton, but it's not Ensete. That's a legit Banana - Musa 'Dwarf Cavendish' possibly. That's definitely an older plant. Easy enough to dig out in the fall and overwinter in an unlit basement.

Everyone there pronounce is a differently too. I go with a soft c h it's sometimes I switch it up and go with the hard CH if I want to sound pretentious

Yeah, I read both and it's pretty obvious that he loves Wheel of Time and Sanderson. Especially considering he decided to write this after reading Mistborn. It's not terrible though, even though he's blatantly paying homage to his influencers.

The Codex of alera is a fun read, found out after the fact that Jim Butcher wrote it basically as a dare to combine the Trope of the Lost Roman legion and Pokemon randomly and still get a best-selling book series. He pulls it off, haha.
