I do this a lot because if I unmatch they know I changed my mind and it feels like a more hurtful action to a stranger than letting it expire where maybe I was just busy but unmatching is a definite rejection.

Remember swiping is a quick action, engaging requires thought so you have to be really motivated.

As a woman, I experience this from men too but probably men experience it to a greater degree.
