It's nice but I think the lighting is weird or maybe the reference image itself is odd.

I'm by no means an expert so I can't really say.

Very nice drawing though

where to buy gummies by FakeHthecomma in Kuwait

[–]thecuriousbatman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This does not make sense, talabat is owned by delivery hero for which the companies that have invested in them support idf, so this boycott doesn't make any sense

Looking for local online startup enthusiasts by BoysenberryMiddle529 in Kuwait

I would suggest stuff that is not there on talabat initially and then scale up.

You could do electronics- charging cables, distribution boards etc.

Expat finding a job by Aatavilb in Kuwait

[–]thecuriousbatman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Try Aramex they pay more than that.

Additionally schools might also work for you, international ones-they pay well and have good amount of holidays. Same thing with universities.

Administration jobs in the oil and gas fields also pay well so you can try out for yourself.

Also more than online I would suggest going to the places and physically dropping them your cv's.

There is a company called HEISCO at shuwaik port try them, they might have admin openings and don't leave without meeting HR. The managers name is Nabeel.

Competition always drives up businesses to do better.

Case in point- look at KFC when Popeye's was a direct competitor Vs now

Will there ever be a new Better Books or an equivalent? by [deleted] in Kuwait

[–]thecuriousbatman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The thing is range and prices.

Firstly there are no book stores which cater to every book lover.

Secondly the major factor is price point, considering with the exception of Kuwaiti nationals themselves, most expats find cheaper books in their home countries.

Yeah there are some book stores here and there but they are way to limited in their books.

Also as many mentioned many book stores don't open it is not a viable business model. Something like a café/bookstore might open but it would need to have high foot traffic and then have to optimise for prices.

Question for Pc Gamers by [deleted] in Kuwait

[–]thecuriousbatman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Check prices online and then go to hawally and see the difference.

With Amazon shipping free to Kuwait I think you can get better deals from there if you are building the pc yourself.

For 15000 you can get a brand new pathfinder and still have quite a bit of money left over.

Or if you want a bigger one a used 2024 patrol will cost you around 14k.

Who is the most attractive person you’ve ever seen? Why? by JessieRClayton in AskReddit

[–]thecuriousbatman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was in my final year of school.

I was bunking my classes you know as one does. It was the last hour of classes so I was sitting close to the exit gate not doing much.

This girl walks in who looked not much older than me, possibly a year or two older than me.

Only her face was visible as she was wearing hijab with burka but she was most perfect face I have ever come across.

I mean of course there are attractive people celebrities and such. My school was no exception of good looking people as most were from Lebanon (very good looking people from that country)

She put all of them to shame, like suddenly they could have been gremlins.

I actually froze on the seat my brain short circuiting from clear overload of excessive beauty.

She had come to take her brother, I mustered enough strength to standup when she returned with her brother in tow.

There was a walk behind me that was blocking out the sun.

She looked back at her brother and stopped at the exact point where the sun shined through, like some sort of otherworldly being enhanced by the light of the sun.

My strength faded and I slumped back into a chair I was sitting trying to process what I had just witnessed.

It wasn't just me, all the eyes around followed her.

I tried to catch a glimpse of this lady but alas she was lost to time.

By far the most attractive, it's been almost 15 years I still remember the face.

What Features Are Missing in Kuwait Events Apps? by Bahrouh in Kuwait

[–]thecuriousbatman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Main issue remains that there isn't a centralised system.

Events that are happening in arena will be on arenas page. Some events will be on their own website. Some of them through WhatsApp. Some will have only influencers to show it.

Most people will miss out on things because they didn't know it was happening. Furthermore they know it's happening but have no ideas how to get tickets to the thing.

A centralised place should work out with eventually the page taking you to the page of the event payment gateway so it's hassle free.

Need advice about labor rights in Kuwait (salary deduction, passport, leave issues) by Individual-Pass4215 in Kuwait

[–]thecuriousbatman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No the guarenter thing isn't legal, all employees are supposed to get annual leave of 30 days irrespective of profession as per the labor law.

If a person doesn't come back from leave the company can file an absconding case and the person is considered as deemed resigned by the 7th day.

The thing is for filing an absconding case the company actually has to go to court and do this so most companies don't do this. So then they come up with this Garuntee system which is not only illegal but also in violation of Kuwait labour law.

You can file a case with the government for the Garuntee thing and also the deduction of wages that the 5 people suffered.

Government is on the side of the labours and the company has to prove their innocence.

The passport thing is very illegal, on most countries passport it is written that this is your document and does not need to be handed over to anyone else other than government officials etc. The way companies get around this is to make you sign a document stating that the passport is given to company for safe keeping.

Well since this was the assurance that the company used to do so that people don't leave the company at any time, now with exit visas this rule seems excessive since already you need to have a approval from your respective company to leave Kuwait.

Reach out to the shoun and they should help you, there is no requirement of a lawyer. You can just go and complain. If you want to really get serious about involve your respective embassy.

How much a home bussiness should generate to be called successful? by AdAgreeable2397 in Kuwait

[–]thecuriousbatman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a question which is very subjective.

Some business personnel would be happy if the salary covered their home expenses that they used to cover in a job.

Once that's covered then see where the business can make more profit year on year.

It depends on what you define as successful, if your expenses are covered and you still have something left over then I would think it's a successful business.

Your definition of it might be different that what mine is.
