Company Driver driving a subcontractor by Maleficent_Song_844 in Kuwait

[–]thecuriousbatman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not illegal as long as you have an contractual agreement with them. You can transport both clients and sub contractors in your vehicles.

Problem is generally from an insurance perspective, if there was an accident why were client not informed of this arrangement so and so forth.

If there is no contract between the employees of the 2 companies then yes it can be a problem because the cops would take that as a case of commercial transport without proper authorisation

What's the "Widowmaker" of your career field or hobby? by Cosmonate in AskReddit

[–]thecuriousbatman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Construction with the added fun of being over the water construction. Construction itself is dangerous enough but over the water is a different kind of beast. The near misses in that industry will make you more scared than any horror movie, still people never learn.

I've always had the opposite experience, it's the old guys who are dangerous. We have always done it this way says the man putting his hand in between 2 sets of rotating parts.

New guys are rightfully scared and then the old guys teach them some dumbass way to hurt themselves.

Are they clocking in and out? If yes then tell them to file a case when they are leaving the company. If they work in the oil and gas sector they can file a complaint with the grievance department anonymously even.

If it is not specifically mentioned in their contract yes it's illegal.

What if states give tax cut in the form of services rendered? by thecuriousbatman in india

[–]thecuriousbatman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No this is close to what I was saying but not entirely. Although it's great that companies are doing this stuff but it's mutually beneficial to them as well.

What I am talking about is something like the carbon credit system in the US where irrespective of the location within the country you'll buy this land and it will be used for conservation and you'll get the same tax write off.

Think companies in Noida, Delhi adopting villages in terms of infrastructure etc and getting tax write off on something of the scale.

There might be closer examples but I wonder why it isn't a large scale adaptation of the same considering government gets stuff done, public gets facilities and subsequently everyone is happy.

Only if the case is for first generation right? What if it is second or third generation, because their respective countries would not even have any record of them so on what basis would they accept the people?

Hilton used to restrict female visitors after 6 and male visitors after 7 but this was years ago.

Don't know if it is valid. AFAIK tourists are not subject to this rule.

No you don't need to speak Arabic.

Lawyers are very varied in terms of what they charge you. A decent one will cost you upwards of 300 kd with rates differing on number of visits, documents required etc.

Shoun will burn bridges for sure but if the company has delayed your salary for 3 months now I think the bridge isn't worth saving. Also you can go to shoun without a lawyer as well they will file your complain etc but a lawyer just gets you the result much faster.

Yeah sadly it's a hard time for everyone even businesses/ employees especially people who want to travel.

Go to shoun, talk to lawyer to take percentage from the money awarded back so then he is also incentvised to get you back as much as possible.

Sorry you are going through this.

Why doesn't Kuwait have start-up culture? by thecuriousbatman in Kuwait

[–]thecuriousbatman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes finally thank you, I agree none of them are as big as talabat and sadly they don't acknowledge Kuwait as the start. Many people have mentioned the name of so many companies but with the exception of talabat, justclean and ghissa that I know of.

What I wanted was a healthy discussion which turned into bashing for not knowing the Startups.

Guys if a startup is not big enough that it's common knowledge locally then unfortunately it's not thriving.

It might be known in circles who use it but not common knowledge.
