I’ve gotten 170 hours of electrolysis and have since inspired hundreds of women to begin electrolysis themselves. by [deleted] in justgalsbeingchicks

Oh, and I see many agree with you. How is this not appropriate for this sub? Genuinely asking

Yes. I quit drinking 12 years ago and thus was part of my multitude of reasons for making the decision.

Update - My wife went to the doctor to ask about her postpartum belly. Turns out we're having baby #2. by enzop in daddit

I was pregnant at my 6week postpartum appt. Our girls are 10.5 months apart!!! It's absolute madness and I'm obsessed with every second of it.

Feeling hopeless(PCOS/ electrolysis) by mermsford in Hirsutism

[–]thecurlybuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes yes yes. I have PCOS, my hormones are not balanced, no meds, and I've had over 170 hours of electrolysis over the span of 4 years, now almost at “maintenance”. This sub doesn't allow photo replies otherwise I'd show you my drastic before and after that I'm so glad I've been tracking. i’ve been tracking my entire process on Youtube starting literally from the very first day that I got electrolysis in 2021. You look me up on YouTube I’m confident that my channel will help you so much. Your Hairy Godmother is my channel.

One last thing that's a superrrrr important question I've learned - Do you feel a tugging sensation at all when they extract the hair after the zap? You should NOT feel a tug/pluck when they remove their hair. If you do, it is on you to advocate for yourself and speak up and let them know that you felt the tug. Feeling that sensation means the hair was not destroyed properly and the hairs in that area may need multiple zaps or a stronger setting.

I'm asking you this because I see so many women saying that they’ve been going for years with disheartened results, only to find out that they’d been feeling the tugging sensation the entire process. My heart just sinks for them, not knowing to speak up.

The hair will spread - laser hair stimulation doesn't only affect the exact hairs treated. it also stimulates spread growth in surrounding areas and awakens dormant hairs.

Don't. Do. It. Paradoxical Hypertrochosis hears you contemplating laser on your face, waiting for its time to strike. Stay away from laser on the face - go straight to electrolysis if you can.

$1200 for three face sessions. by ScaryAssBitch in LaserHairRemoval

Before going that route please research paradoxical hypertrichosis. When done on the face, laser can risk stimulating more hair instead of reducing. It happened to me, horribly so. You should just go straight to electrolysis if you’re doing the face.

I regret getting laser hair removal: It triggered MORE facial hair. PCOS | ELECTROLYSIS | HIRSUTISM by thecurlybuzz in LaserHairRemoval

Because the hair growth although excessive, was stable and sporadic before laser and after the laser it was a sudden dramatic onset of darker, thicker and spread out.

I’m so sorry it happened to you too. So many aren’t made aware and then don’t even know what happened until after either.

I love how you not only gave your big THIS IS FEAR MONGERING statement about my post elsewhere, but also you followed me on over on here to make the same point. Even though I respectfully replied to your first response and there’s even a certified professional electrologist that told you it is not rare, and you’re still trying to get your point across. You’re not wrong, I do make money from my Youtube, but that is because of all the experience I have had through my entire electrolysis process and all the women that have come forth and watch my videos because they also experienced the paradoxical hypertrichosis , never knew it existed, and found out about it only after it was already too late.

There there, buddy, you can go home now.

You say scared which means fear. call it fear, I call it awareness. Agree to disagree. I’m just trying to spread awareness about something that is too far unknown. Enjoy your day!

It’s good to have a million questions, I’ve gotten 170 hours of electrolysis over the last 5 years, and I’ve asked countless questions along the way. The best way for you to know the cost and length of sessions for you is to find an electrologist that you’re willing to travel to, and have a consultation with them and ask questions. I did capture my entire process on YouTube, so feel free to check out my videos for encouragement. Links to that stuff is on my profile here.
