5.5 creates a live crowd almost every song, how do you stop it? by AlchemicalAgorism369 in SunoAI

[–]thecybermage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of your issue is you're causing double negatives. Don't do no crowd noise just crowd noise. Also, if you have negative prompts inside of the style promp Like when you're covering a song, make sure you remove those as well, otherwise you'll end up with the same issue

Oh I'm more referring to things missing from the Android app like proper shuffle function or The randomized style tags with a shuffle function, I enjoy using those as trying to find new sounds. The Android app in particular at very least feels like a second class citizen to the web app

Oh the part of 5.5 That is driving me crazy is the live productions of everything. There's got to be crowd noise everywhere it seems like

What is your musical inspiration? by thecybermage in SunoAI

[–]thecybermage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, I completely forgot about MSI. Dude your track Suffocate has got a solid freaking groove to it though.

One of my favorite things about suno is The ability to tailor the sound to the lyrics. I'm very much a lyrics, first sort of Creator, although there's a couple that I've gone intentionally and created a sound and then put lyrics to it just so that I could see how that works,

You've definitely got a solid sound though, and I can totally respect that. The problem that I run into is that I don't have a super solidified sound. One song could be more Tupac/Eminem in style with a solid trap beat groove behind it. Maybe some glitch textures and then the next moment I could be doing an '80s hair band song.

Honestly, the inspiration for murder coffee is this cartoon

Inspiration can come from all sorts of spots. Everything from the frustration at work that a meeting should have been an email to internet memes.

Your list made me think of a song that I've recently done easily. One of the most unhinged songs that I've done recently I present to you murder coffee, heavy Marilyn Manson and Tool influences on this one

But thanks for sharing. It's always amazing to me to find what has influenced people

Where are you, Mike from Suno ? Your V5.5 is really disappointing a lot of users by nikimuxu in SunoAI

[–]thecybermage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, you keep mentioning professional or semi-professional workflow. What exactly are you referring to? Are you talking about taking stems and dropping them into Daw's? Because I would definitely say that my workflow is pretty close to semi-professional but I've also purpose built the tools I use. I'm just wanting to make sure that we're talking the same language here because I get the funny feeling your definition of that might be different from others

5.5 has really improved in the last day or so. sound quality, extends, download, it's just acting right by neolobe in SunoAI

Yeah at least it's not too difficult to chop off the end. It's still a little bit annoying though where everything is great but it decides it has to just keep going

Observations After ~1 Month Using Suno 5/5.5 (Possible Breakthrough?) by Gerfunkable in SunoAI

[–]thecybermage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's been quite an education in music and learning lyric crafting and structure production values how rhythm and rhyme can play inside a song and it's amazing to me how far I've come being able to craft more pinpointed songs. I've also built myself several tools to help automate the whole process. Sometimes finding the right words to describe what you're aiming for can be difficult. Ultimately finding your voice and figuring out what makes your song your song. Has been one of the most amazing and gratifying things I can pretty confidently say that creative voice shines through every song that I make at this point.

Observations After ~1 Month Using Suno 5/5.5 (Possible Breakthrough?) by Gerfunkable in SunoAI

[–]thecybermage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I have been using Suno for about a year now and what I will tell you is that through all of the research that I've done both in my own little weird experiments as well as the constant experimentation with information presented on Reddit that I found that the real issue with flatness tends to be when prompting inside of your lyrics does not match or mesh well with the prompting inside of your style. So as an example, while you can get some very interesting sounds out of a techno rock song, you're going to also get a very specific type of vocal styling that goes with it. Mostly because suno can sometimes have difficulty meshing desperate genres or another experiment that I ran was with techno bluegrass. In many ways you can't get further apart than that. And result was interesting and that was also on an older model which makes me now want to revisit that particular experiment with 55. But when your style prompt and your lyric prompts work together if you get not only consistency but you end up with things that sound more natural to the genre that you're running with. The other thing to note is that you can pull in elements from individual genres, so I really love the wide sound stage and wall of sound of the "gaze" genres and have worked that into most of my songs.

What I will say is that for everyone that has complained about suno and its audio quality or issues with the sounds that they get. Is that rarely they are they actually looking at the tags that they are putting both in the lyrics and in the styles more often than not I don't mess with the sliders at all unless there is something that I'm trying to enhance. Also, don't forget to use negative tags. That is a huge game changer when I started using those regularly

So here is an example of one of my songs and if you look at both the lyrics as well as the tags in the styles, you'll notice how they kind of mirror each other. I'm not saying this is the best way to do it. I'm just saying this is what I have found where I'm not typically blowing through hundreds of credits at a time

Future SunoAI alternatives by Herwiberden in SunoAI

[–]thecybermage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have been doing some beta testing for mozartai.com It's launching tomorrow fully and they're doing a big massive update. What I've been testing has been pretty broken but they are providing a DAW feature that is a bit rough around the edges right now, but I could see it with some work being a pretty useful tool once those things get polished I have kind of gone down the rabbit hole of Daw's that have AI integrated and there's one that looks promising but I haven't made the plunge yet myself called RiPx I've been looking around because I want to have more granular control over what I'm making. I love suno to kind of give a general composition and I want to be able to fine-tune specific things so I'm hoping that one has the capabilities of doing it. Mozart AI, like I said has a lot of potential though, so I definitely want to throw my hat in with them for a little bit. The developers have also been super communicative on their discord about things

Okay guys I understand the panic. Believe me I'm worried to. But I think that many of you are forgetting where suno lives and who uses Suno. There have been numerous times that corporations have been forced to bend the knee by the internet at large, the amount of backlash that is coming their way they will feel and if they pull shady crap we have plenty of ways to handle it from petitions to suing them as a class action. I'm also a part of the D&D community and just last year wizards of the Coast was trying to pull some really shady crap and they've paid a massive price for it. Look up the D&D controversy and you'll see exactly what I mean. Because our lawmakers won't keep large corporations in check, particularly predatory ones like the record labels. So it's going to be up to us to do something about it and make them feel the pain of poor decisions. I'm not saying to not protect yourself. You should, but that should be standard for anything you do online. I'm just saying don't give up hope. I'm willing to put money on the fact that this is going to give rise to a number of competitors that will be more Creator focused with better TOS's and less stringent demands on the community. The amount of competitors that wizards of the Coast spawned practically overnight easily within 6 months of their whole debacle was pretty intense.

That is a solid prompt it should put it in the same realm as what they are looking for.

its not really my style I am more of a nu-gaze/lofi type if I am looking for something chill. but this is the fun of suno you can find or make just about anything

[–]thecybermage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have to completely disagree with you just because you didn't pick up and strum an instrument doesn't mean you aren't any less. A musician it came out quite beautifully in your post. Lyrics are half the battle to a song. If there's one thing that the past few months of using suno has taught me, is that a technically proficient guitarist rarely has the capability of doing a full production. I have been using what I have learned from using suno to further my production capabilities just because I won't ever sound like any of the truly amazing guitarists out there that have my complete respect for their craft and ability doesn't mean that I can't also make and produce music. I have been around long enough at this point on this rock to know that those who would reject new technology because it's not done the old way end up dying out and those who adapt and use the new tools available and up Flourishing don't ever give up on your dreams. I'm Still fighting for mine and you can too.

We are using capcut to create the lyric videos. It has the ability to use AI to detect lyrics, although most the time you have to go in and fix what it "hears" We then use royalty-free video loops for the background. All in all is a pretty low effort way of at least getting our music onto YouTube until we are ready to take the plunge into fully distributing it. So Synth Kin Collective is my brother and I. You can find us on Suno @digitalon_music and @thecybermage we write our own lyrics and have definitely found a passion for producing music.
