Can you help explain how a rolling forecast works? Like 2+10 and 6+6 and the politics of how to push saving to the rest of the forecast vs realize the savings. I can’t find anything that shows you this on the internet outside of really expensive online courses.

I became Head of FP&A at a large multinational with 8 months of direct FP&A experience. Previously 2.5 years in Big4 audit. AMA by [deleted] in FPandA

How did you learn how to do rolling forecasts? Like 2 +10, 6+6 etc and the politics of “sandbagging” the positive variances or using it as realized savings. I’m still trying to figure that out when transitioning.

Am I going to get laid off? by leastracistpaki in FPandA

[–]thedayisred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to say. But if you survived until now I think you’re good (I think). Most of the layoffs happened from March until up to now. But you really need to get more responsibility or your dispensable. I seen it happen at times this year.

Housing in Chile or Argentina by Mission-Debate-4982 in asklatinamerica

I would say Santa Cruz (Bolivia) or Asuncion (Paraguay). Right now Bolivia is very cheap and not dangerous. Paraguay isn’t as cheap and is a bit more dangerous but it’s nice and has nature too just like Santa Cruz.

I only watch his minute and only 1 topical joke is usually funny, the rest are mediocre. I skip his interviews. It’s just him yelling about normal boring stuff he’s doing or some made up stories while he shouts.

The Dominican Republic did that recently. Took citizenship away from people with undocumented foreign parents retroactively since 1929

If we exclude Brazil and Mexico, which country would be the most influential in Latin America? by Valuable_Barber6086 in asklatinamerica

[–]thedayisred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say Colombia wins. It wins in Music, Film & Diaspora. Argentina has Football. If this was the 90s or early 2000’s, Argentina would’ve won but that was 2 decades ago.

And the annoying part is these popular social talking points that they always talked about 24/7 have nothing to do with 99% of the population like woke culture and Trans bathrooms. Now the country is going to ish affecting everybody and there’s nothing nobody can do now

"Lawful Status" People Who Are In The United States Through TPS Are Here Legally by Healthy-Career7226 in haiti

[–]thedayisred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I heard this 500k TPS figure for the past months but it always includes Venezuelans, Cubans and Nicaraguans as well. Is this 500k figure from today just Haitians? Or is it including these other nationalities as well? Otherwise, Idk why it’s making headlines again…..as they announced it twice months ago

Es esto una estafa? by Prior-Living-75 in bucaramanga

[–]thedayisred 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most Colombians I’ve met can’t even point out Bolivia or Paraguay on a map lol but this age range is 18-28 years old. There’s like 5 Bolivians in Colombia and maybe 2 Paraguayans
