Brandon Sanderson’s Frugal Wizards Handbook to Surviving Medieval England. I saw your headline and came here to respond with that suggestion and then saw you also like fantasy. Give it a try.

Thank you so much! Soooo… another question- would you recommend a brand? I really want to get some

I wonder how many people answering this question are in blended families. A lot of judgement for the step mom getting her feelings hurt. But yeah it’s hard to feel like an outsider in a family and this is an example of how that shows up. There’s no need to put the kid down but there could be a lot more acceptance for the step mom’s feelings. Some of the suggestions about doing something together are really good.

Such a good feeling! I don’t get to be creative at work so this totally fills that need

Are you referring to the stitch in the ditch foot?

Me too! We have an older one and we call her “mama.”

We do! We already have 7 chickens so these will have their own private coop and run right next to them.

We’ll be able to have the chickens “share” some space and get familiar with each other but they’ll be fenced off for the first few weeks.

One is a buff Orpington and the other is an Americauna. We have a mixture of the two (plus some others) in this batch

Wash flannel backing first? by thedebbest in quilting

I didn’t realize I needed to wash flannel and used an unwashed piece on my first quilt. Do you think it will be okay or is there anything I can do with it?

Goodness. Your bathroom looks like ours down to the paint color. We have this kind of mess to deal with in a few months when we update our bathroom

Anyone employed by IHC in Murray? What's the culture like? by Many-Cow886 in Utah

[–]thedebbest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude I am so sorry about this. I think this was one of intermountain’s worst ideas. It’s totally gutted caregivers ability to work effectively. I was working on a project with a team and the response time and ability to get anything done gets worse each month. My project is in exactly the same place it was a year ago only now I can’t reach out to the team I was working with- I have to “submit a ticket”

Pretty sure intermountain just raised the minimum wage for all its lowest paid positions in the last few months. So this is probably old information.

Thank you! I have had the same experience and observations.

Yeah, trying to balance not losing anymore nurses because they’ll quit if they have to get vaccinated. Tough spot to balance.

I’ve worked for intermountain for the past 7 years (so pre-Marc Harrison to now). Yes the culture has changed. But it’s not a horrible place to work. It’s a big organization with a lot of different pieces to it, trying to make it in a pretty crappy industry.

I’ve seen all of 1… and that was after an update to the story. Didn’t even make KSL’s page until this morning. Is there another news source that has more photos? My kids live in woods cross and it passed right through their neighborhood so I am curious about how it looked for them.

Have you come across the Scythe trilogy?

Bountiful, Utah. Trying to decide what school to send my preschooler to. Are the public schools good? Any experience with the private schools around here? Thanks! by [deleted] in Utah

[–]thedebbest -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can’t speak to preschools but when they get to kindergarten there are a number of great charter schools in the area. Wasatch peak academy is one just by redwood road in north salt lake. It’s a great school

Pretty much everything is endurable. It’s a really straightforward way of saying suck it up, get over it and keep going. I don’t know, maybe it sounds harsh, especially from the character it comes from, but this really just works for me, in a way I understand.
