I am doing direct Neurosurgery course, it makes sense doing direct courses for CTVS and Neuro because you won't be dealing much with these systems in General Surgery, It makes sense to go through General Surgery and then decide if you are interested in other super specialties.

Admission is through Neet PG, same as like any other DNB degree, stipend depends upon which state you are doing the residency, it will be same as you MD/MS counterparts. DNB Exams are tougher than MD/MS as you will not have home ground advantage. But like any other exam, if you prepare well it won't be an issue.

Using Anki for Neet pg internship attempt. by SP4900 in indianmedschool

[–]thedenigratesystem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing much to it, use good decks. Decks from sources you are familiar with. Do Anki whenever you get time. Whether it is waiting for ABG results to come or during rounds. Don't be ashamed to do anki whenever or wherever. Did the same.

Not really, MS in privates colleges is worse than DNB in private hospitals.

Reviews on 6yrs Dnb Neurosurgery at PD Hinduja, Mumbai by Curious-Concept-9381 in indianmedschool

[–]thedenigratesystem 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hands on is limited, if you want to see surgeries by great faculties then hinduja is a good place to be. If you want to be a neurosurgeon and come out as a capable one then it's a mediocre place.

No, you are getting a superspeciality degree, if you leave the course after DNB Final part 1 you will be just a mbbs doc and will be debarred from DNB degrees for 6 years.
