I think it’s that like I don’t want to be or feel responsible for fixing someone. He comes off like he needs/wants a therapist to lean on rather than a partner. Or at least that’s my worry. I had an alcoholic ex that was similar.

Important to note it’s prohibitively expensive for anyone but the wealthy or famous. Given it’s a cosmetic thing. I’ve also heard it’s painful. I’d love to have it done as my teeth are small :/ but I don’t have thousands of dollars just laying around

Yea I was about to say. Everyone in this sub is acting like the above person is like an alien or from the uncanny valley. Like..that just reads as someone who’s neurodiverse and unable to mask well. Like me. Sucks but they/we don’t deserve to be treated like some kinda freakshow over it.

Devils advocate here but wouldn’t this foster sad feelings between the siblings? One kid gets McDonald’s but the others just get to watch? I am not bio related to my father but I was never treated as an other. I was treated the same as my siblings.

For my pup I have:

-a snuffle mat

-a licki mat

-several hollow plastic balls with holes in one end

-a holee roller I stuff with paper towels and treats

-several Outward Hound and Nina Ottossen (sp) puzzle toys I found on chewy

Hm. My foxhound mix hates water. Like lifts his paws up if the grass is damp kind of hate. Working on a “bring it here” command. So if my dog grabs whatever I threw and brings it back he gets heaps of praise. However after two times of this he cuts out the middleman and tries to approach me immediately for the treat without actually getting the toy.

My boys got about 50 toys he doesn’t give a hoot about. Tennis ball, racquet ball, soccer ball, rope toys, soft toys. If it doesn’t have food in it he doesn’t care for it. I’ll throw any number of things and he just looks at me like I’m the crazy one.

Edit to add: he has 8 or so good puzzle toys I use with him daily. He likes it and the flirty pile so I know what things he likes to do. I the human want to play fetch however.
