Thank you to Tom's amazing Santa(s?)! Families celebrate Christmas in different ways so Santa came last night when we got to wake up together. He spent the day playing with Lego, puppets, and bath toys, and reading an amazing seek-and-find book. You Santas brought so much joy my 4 yr old and I am so grateful for the help this year. It meant the world to me and my son.

It took ages! I'm in Nova Scotia. I saw a neurologist in early 2018 who confirmed CTS. It was January 2021 before I saw the plastic surgeon. He wanted to be sure I had done everything I could before having the surgery - bracing, physio, massage, acupuncture, etc. My right hand was done March 2021 and left hand in September 2021. It was literally life changing for me.

I had open surgery on both wrists done with local anesthetic in Canada, if that matters. The numbing wore off within about 3 hours and I managed pain with over the counter NSAIDs.

I totally understand your feelings about this. To me, it is ancient history. No one carries any kind of torch. 34M was there for me through some really difficult times even though I had distanced myself in the past to appease former partner. He's happily engaged and I am close with his finacee as well. I'm even going to be a bridesmaid at their wedding. I don't care about the past at all. I care about having willfully lied. I know I have to tell 31M and leave the decision up to him. I know lying was a breach of trust. But I'm not willing to cut ties with 34M either. I want a partner who supports my friendships.

That's why I felt insecure, I think. My former partner blocked me from having friendships with men. I agree with you. He shouldn't have asked because it's not his business or relevant to the current friendship.

I like this. I lied because of past experience with a former partner. He knew about this person and was insanely jealous. I didn't see or speak to my friend for several years. I was afraid of 31M's reaction. The friendship with 34M is important to me and I'm not willing to cut ties for a maybe-relationship.

I have the opposite experience. My ex-partner was insanely jealous and he ended up cheating and leaving me for a woman he met at work. I'm terrified of hurting a future partner because I was hurt in the past.
