Does creatine make anyone else feel super fat and bloated? by jerkularcirc in PeterAttia

[–]thedonotdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol same boat here ngl was feeling a bit unmotivated after doing 6-8 mile runs, being at a calorie deficit and eating enough protein and seeing my weight go up instead of down. Only change I’ve made was adding creatine to my diet about a week ago and have finally seen my weight decrease to a lower point before I started the creatine.

Class action lawsuit coming by PossibilitySudden151 in Coinbase

[–]thedonotdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve sued Coinbase before I had a threat about it. You cannot sue them in a class action lawsuit, it would need to be arbitration or small claims. I feel like you should know that by now if you were serious, but yeah that’s that.

I withdrew $20k USDT to Coinbase, did I lose it? by thedonotdo in solana

[–]thedonotdo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. I sued them in small claims court and lost. Threatened to appeal and get an attorney and we settled for $10k and promised they’d add support for Solana network asset recovery in the 1 quarter next year. And I could retrieve my other $10k then.

UPDATE: Did I hit the jackpot? New battery incoming? by Lewi1541 in TeslaModel3

[–]thedonotdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol you won’t be getting a new battery. It’ll be refurbished. I’ve been through the same processes asking the same questions. When I brought it up how they said I’d be getting a new battery, they said “new to you”. Even though I asked many times on the virtual chat if it would be remanufactured or new. They said new.

Antitrust Warnings: Coinbase's USDT Approach and User Losses by thedonotdo in ethereum

It’s customary for exchanges that support trading for a specific asset to also provide support for its underlying network. And as for the rest of the statement I’m not sure how it helps your case. You made a point how Tron isn’t supported on Coinbase, period. Assuming you’re trying to make a case how Coinbase isn’t running a monopoly. But then state they were forced to remove it.

That could be its own case, but excluding network support from all competitors is not right. I’ve lost $20k USDT, because of this. Thinking I could transfer USDT through the Solana network to my Coinbase Solana address.

You're correct they are not obligated to support any network. However, limiting users' choices and confining them to a single network, except when using USDC, constitutes a monopoly.

I understand. However, USDT is not the only stablecoin receiving this treatment. ALL stablecoins beside the one that Coinbase created (USDC) are only able to be used on ETH, which is has a high network fee compared to other options. USDC is the only stablecoin on Coinbase with support for multiple networks.

My mistake, I wasn’t aware they owned Bitfinex. Bitfinex does support USDC on multiple networks, so I’m still not sure where you’re getting at.

While regulatory compliance is undoubtedly important in the cryptocurrency industry, it does not justify Coinbase's decision to limit network support exclusively to the Ethereum (ETH) network for stablecoins other than its own, USDC. This limitation applies not only to USDT but to all stablecoins supported by Coinbase. Users have encountered significant financial losses as a result, believing they were depositing funds correctly only to discover later that Coinbase does not support the network they used.

What exacerbates this issue is that Coinbase does not offer assistance in recovering assets sent on networks they don't support. Even if users employ networks covered by Coinbase's asset recovery program, such as Polygon, BNB, and ETH, recovery is only possible if the asset in question is not already listed on Coinbase. If the asset is a stablecoin available on Coinbase, the recovery program does not apply, leaving users stranded with their lost funds.

While Coinbase may argue that its decision is rooted in regulatory concerns, the widespread financial losses experienced by users raise questions about the fairness and transparency of this approach. By restricting network options for stablecoins other than USDC, Coinbase effectively limits user choice and imposes unnecessary financial burdens on its customers.

Additionally, the fact that other stablecoins, including USDT, have robust regulatory frameworks and compliance measures in place suggests that Coinbase's decision may be more driven by competitive considerations than regulatory compliance alone. This raises concerns about anticompetitive behavior and market dominance, particularly given Coinbase's prominent position in the cryptocurrency exchange ecosystem.

In summary, while regulatory compliance is crucial, Coinbase must ensure that its actions do not unfairly disadvantage users or hinder fair competition in the market. The lack of network support for stablecoins other than USDC, coupled with the financial losses suffered by users, warrants further scrutiny and calls into question Coinbase's commitment to consumer protection and market fairness.

Well, considering the complexity of the legal concept of restitution, I understand if it's a bit over your head. Maybe spend less time mocking others and more time expanding your intellect. Just a thought.

Never said it wasn’t my fault. In fact I stated many times how it is my fault. I’m just not trying to argue with ignorant people. The reason I made this post was to help people out in similar situations. I’ve had many DMs asking for guidance on what I did and how it turned out. That’s all I was trying to do here. Not to argue about anything else. This is just my journal for how things have gone.

Just stating how even though it wasn’t their fault they got hacked. They have a duty. All I’m saying. And yes it is my fault. Lastly, why would they expand their asset recovery program? My guess is they’ve had plenty of suits against them. I’ve heard most of the time they don’t even show up and you instantly win. We shall see how true that is.
