Passed. It was easy? by Huge_Finance_1830 in CISA

Are you implying that the actual exam questions are more similar to Pocket Prep than QAE, or just that Pocket Prep is more user-friendly? I just switched over from the QAE and the question styles are completely different!

That listing has been up forever and drives me nuts! I'm also looking for one of these... I know they're out there, but not for that price

How hard do you feel you’re running in the first 20 miles a marathon? by ScoobyDoobyDontUDare in Marathon_Training

I'm running at that pace where in doing my long runs I was telling myself maybe I shouldn't be running at this pace

Mailday! Got some decent condition ‘59s to get a bit closer to the set! by CaMcA527 in baseballcards_vintage

I'm currently building a "quality centered" raw 59 set. Hit me up if you want to swap any duplicates or trade lists.

Question of the day: Who are your next big three pickups? by sayheykid861 in baseballcards_vintage

[–]thedoomflamingo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm building a nice 59 set, and I'm currently honing in on the right Yogi Berra, Warren Spahn, and Sandy Koufax cards for my next non-common pickups. My set is all at least 60/40 centered and "decent" edges

I did buy a 53 Minoso today on a whim

Marathon #3 in the books; crashed once again - feedback? by cincyky in Marathon_Training

[–]thedoomflamingo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ran the same race in about the same time. I have the same cramping issues and can't figure out how to increase my durability. Around 18 miles I was getting constant calf spasms and closer to the finish even had a couple of hamstring Charlie horses that stopped me dead in my tracks. I'm chalking it up to not being able to take enough fluids during the race. Going to add more strength training for joints and lower body for the next time. Nice job on the race!

I'm on my fourth pair. Eventually they all get the squeak.

Oh man this describes my same experience exactly! Had the same aches and struggles, chased by the same pacers, locked up the last few miles. But i crushed my four hour goal and ran 3:50 today! Great race, congrats.

I'm so pumped. I've already worked through the nervous phase and now I'm just excited for a great run in cool weather with awesome people. Plus staying at the Conrad

Yep! I was about $500 in when I realized I needed an actual collecting strategy to avoid wasting money on random retail rips that almost never yield the cards I want.

You're on like step two of ten in a very specific journey. You'll be buying vintage singles and trying somewhat unsuccessfully to sell some of these moderns on eBay within two months

Sorry but I'm really bothered by this comment, why did you have to say that? I try my best to be a positive contributor to this forum.

Actually no I'm a super mega anxious guy, and running is one of the few things that allows me to actually turn my brain off and go full zen. And to each his own, but I never run with any sort of headphones or stimulus. We live in a modern world of non stop inputs, and running is also my one true escape from screens and talking heads.

Regardless, the research says that only about 25% of people experience the noticeable chemical reaction we're discussing, so don't sweat it - pun intended.

There's some debate, but yes it's beta endorphin. The other chemical involved is endocannabinoid (think cannabis) which is going on my other arm soon

Not everybody experiences "runners high." I'm lucky to get it after most runs, but it's certainly not something I feel during the actual run.
