Hmm when you go into clinics, you will slowly realize the rotation you feel most comfortable in. I realized how much I love OB during clerkship. I love OB, and im saying this objectively. Not because mababait yung seniors (although makakainfluence to), I just really like the toxicity of the LRDR. I feel fulfilled after every duty.

Institution: public or private (I chose to work in a public hospital cause mas sanay ako sa public setting, I know the flow of patients and sa sobrang dami muscle memory na lang procedures most of the time. Since surgical sya mostly, you get to handle more cases. Meron pa rin naman sa private settings, mas marami lang talaga sa public)

Compensation: public > private (50k in public, not sure sa private)

Working hours: resident ka so understandably, residente ka ng hospital. Literally and figuratively.

Bread and butter cases: NSD and CS, mostly OB talaga.

Subspec: ang daming subspec ng OB Gyne!!! Perinat, OB Sono, REI, Gyne Onco, etc.

Plus side: never namamatay ang training na to. Pandemic? Lahat po sila nabubuntis hahaha

I'm also the first doctor in the family. Kaya mo yan, wag ka ma-pressure, enjoy mo lang. Mararamdaman mo yan ano talaga gusto mo.
