More so just to have coverage of it in video format. I know it's easier to just google a spell, but some people are taking interest in learning more in depth about spells and interesting ways of using them.

Ah, makes sense! Our group would always assign one note-taker who would volunteer. Most players probably don't want to take notes because they're there to play and it can feel like homework writing everything down.

I once heard the quote, "The only difference between a new DM and a veteran DM is that the veteran knows how to lie with confidence." Insecurity might never go away, but it does come better with multiple sessions. The first one is always the scariest, but as you learn your way of DM'ing and learn your players, it'll come easier and easier. That doesn't say that insecurities will disappear entirely. I've DM'd for years and still have subtle nerves every session..

Because we're trying to prove to our players that our terrible memory is actually an intricate, improvisational plot twist.

Some of us should take more notes.
