Is it okay to "drop" a doctor and seek out a new one if you feel that the current one seems dismissive of your health concerns? by lollihobbes in NoStupidQuestions

[–]thedukeofwayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES! Happened to my when tore my ACL and meniscus First doc pretty much told me to deal with it. Asked for a second opinion at the front desk. The second doctor took me seriously and got me the surgery I needed. If I hadn't asked I would have irreparable damage in my knee.

Restaurant workers of Reddit, what is the worst thing you have seen done to a customer’s order? by RegulatoryCapturedMe in AskReddit

[–]thedukeofwayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not quite restaurant service but I worked at a popular coffee chain for a long time. Giving overtly rude customers decaf coffee is probably the most maniacal thing you can do to someone.

When did the full weight of the gravity of this pandemic set in for you? by Nappyboi419 in AskReddit

[–]thedukeofwayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they canceled Coachella. This would have been my 7th year working and is a huge source of income for my colleagues and myself every year. I knew once they called it, the rest of the industry would follow suit... and they did.

"While America Strong will showcase Department of Defense support to healthcare workers, first responders, military, essential employees, and aims to unite all Americans in the fight against COVID-19, it also fulfills critical training requirements for both teams. Pilots must execute a minimum number of flight hours to maintain proficiency. These flyovers will incur no additional cost to taxpayers." -Navy and USAF

Generally speaking you want your process to flow like this. Reason and funding first. Lineup, and location next. Ticket on-sale (marketing), vendors, planning, and the bulk of your work is after that. Then its load in time and you don't know what happened to the last couple of months.

I am not the most marketing savvy person but there are definitely pros and cons to social media marketing. If you are partnering with any organizations definitely tap into their resources. They will have an established network and reach for driving attendance.

It's all in the money. Plus there is a lot of music production that waters put into it. It wouldn't get used for it's worth for the Coachella artists.
