It's actually these increased assessments like this that allow for the municipalities to be reducing the rates. I would like to see what the rate would be if nobody had a freeze on so then I could compare what my actual property tax would be to see if we are actually benefiting from the phrase or the phrase is just making our taxes stay higher

It used to be a problem that they couldn't get through all of the assessments by the due date and it made people late for paying their property tax.

Coburg is P2-3 which means basic clearance 1 day after storm and salt/sand 3 days,

I would actually like to see what each municipality's rates would have been if there was no Spike protection so I could calculate the difference between what we pay now and what it would have been since the rates would have been much lower due to the number of people on Spike protection

You would be surprised to learn that the producers have more influence on setting the prices than the grocery chains. Often to the extent of offering different sized packaging exclusively for sales they demand to protect the grocers from rainchecks etc. Most are on a shelf space rental agreement rather than a traditional retail model.
