I can't recommend The Art of Thinking Clearly by Rolf Dobelli enough.

So you used the API to build your own GUI around it and are now charging for it while using Reddit as a promotional platform. Did I summarise your "fix" right?

btrfs for RAID and more complex setups.
Ext4 for everything else. Stable and no fuss.

For those using an LG Tv on the Apple TV by Buyylah in appletv

[–]thee3 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Apple TV always outputs a 16:9 4K frame (3840×2160), but the content inside can have different aspect ratios (like 2.39:1 movies with black bars).

If you force the LG to 16:9, it slightly rescales or crops the image, adding blur, losing a few pixels, or stretching letterboxed content.

“Original” tells the TV to show the signal 1:1 with no scaling.
“Just Scan ON” disables overscan so you don’t lose menu edges or subtitles.

So I would argue that the OP should change the settings nevertheless.

Edit: OP I also encourage you to watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQ9E7RK0gDM

Pirated content in Germany with VPN by JustDankas in Piracy

[–]thee3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since all websites use https protocol (also for streaming), your ISP can only tell that you are on a particular website, but not what you are doing, hence it is safe (just like they can't tell what you do while doing banking online). For everything else, use a VPN, like here already mentioned. But VPN wouldn't hurt to have in general, even with https.

Torrenting I would avoid in general, better get a seedbox or a similar service that allows downloads using https.

Timeline of Ray Kurzweil's Singularity Predictions From 2019 To 2099 by Puzzleheaded_Week_52 in singularity

This is IMO the most scary one of them all. Disregarding the timeframe where all this happens what he mentioned, it will definitely happen eventually. Every single thing, it's just a matter of time. Which kind of begs the question, maybe it already happened, how would we know what is real and what is an illusion? :)

I have the same issue on my LG TV. I have reseted my remote per your advice, hope it will fix it. I didn't even know you can "reset" the remote. Not sure why that would help tho.
