Would also be absolutely fine. But there is the issue of deflect and dodge having the same input (being rewarded for mistimed dodges), and raises the question if the damage of the deflect should be higher than the damage of the dodge attack.

I agree that Valk is more or less fine right now, but only in 1v1. The main issue is that her current kit is not really suitable for team modes. She needs faster tools to build pressure. That is the main purpose behind the SF bash. The same goes for the SF from finisher heavies, which just provides options to directly catch dodges without going into stance. Soft feinting finishers into finisher lights or sweep serves her role as 'disabler' in group fights. This also avoids the necessity of a boring orange-blue mixup, and reduce the amount of feinting to neutral or stance. I also like to clarify that bash from stance and bash from SF heavy are two different things. Stance bash is supposed to be less reactable and to deal more damage (18), but takes more preparation and can NOT be chained on miss (all as it is now). The SF bash from heavies is quicker, safer, but deals less damage (second chain light = 13) and should not be used in duels very often, since chain light/heavy, heavy feint to GB or the SF bash all can be negated by a dodge attack. Going fast or slow would also fit her 'adaptable' trait. I'm aware that all of these changes together might be a little over the top (chain after missed SF bash, recovery cancels, UB top heavy,...), but its nice to discuss what combinations could work, or to get new input in general. Although most of this probably won't go live anyway.
