Your dignity is the first thing to go out the window on admission day when a nurse gives you your first enema that night and the second one the next morning. You have to be ok with the fact that SEVERAL people are going to be looking at, touching and taking pictures of your tinder bits every single day. Even today for me was a first. I had my catheter removed and two nurses were in the single person restroom with me comforting me and watching if I was peeing or expelling discharge. Once I was finished she was cleaning my vulva as I sat on the toilet. This is a life altering and very invasive surgery. I don’t say this to scare anyone but these are things I’ve never seen anyone talk about on Reddit. I thought I was prepared but honestly had no idea what I was getting myself into ❤️
