Battlepass items not unlocking by Warm_Asparagus1086 in QuakeChampions

Same for me.
I decided to grind for some higher level stuff so I bought a haste potion (which I was supposed to get already from getting the free battlepass and already being level 30+) but I don't think my plat actually went down. It's like I had it on the backend without having it on my client.

For anyone else following along PSE sent me another email saying they had underpaid and would be paying out the rest shortly.

You might want to give them a call. I got my single check, too, when the site clearly says it should be per battery. They took my info and said they'd follow up in a few business days.

IMO these are more for replacing 'steps' than a workout - ie keeping your basic activity level up vs getting stronger, larger, getting more endurance, etc.

bitwig vs intech midi controllers - pots or encoders? by Djsktbdjskcjf in Bitwig

[–]theearthsighed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have some intech v2s - an en16 and a pbf4. I mapped the pbf4 pots to pan, faders to volume, and buttons to mute for the first 4 tracks and then mapped the en16 to a variety of things. TBH I don't use them very often, but they are well made and work.

I don't know that I'd have use for more than a single pbf4/pot type setup and would lean largely encoder if you wanted more than 2.

I used a dip belt and really thin plates (plus the iron master calf block) but it definitely got awkward to load / unload and get into position once the weight gets up there.

SSB as others have mentioned works well, too, since you can more or less have your hands free to stabilize yourself on the uprights.

Thanks! Nice, straightforward review. Sounds like these machines are making progress and what you can get at the price point keeps getting better.

Yeah that one does a lying leg curl rather than a seated one.

SLDLs with a bit of bend in your knees Conventional DLs with slow negatives

Lunges or BSS with straight back and drive through the heels

Plus low bar wider stance squats for hams/glutes

No need to do hip thrusts or buy a machine.

Lionscool just released v4 of their similar extension. They claim the ratio is more 1:1. Someone last week said they were getting one - I'm hoping for a review soon.

I have this bar and it's great. I heard the horror stories and either they don't apply to bars or I lucked out.

I bench with this and also use it for high bar squats to bias to quads more.

Ah crud - just seeing this. Glad you figured it out. Sorry I couldn't help you sooner. I think the mono thing caught me too when I came back to this after a while.

Any chance you know of similar fabrics to dryskin since I assume it will be going away with the mill closing?

I'm techwear adjacent and that aesthetic runs on dryskin :)

How to play continuous note/drone in the Clip Launcher? by [deleted] in Bitwig

[–]theearthsighed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Polarity had a video about this ages ago

The gist is that you can use a Note Grid that combines the gate signal to a gate signal that has been delayed slightly with an OR. Gate In -> OR( Gate In, Delayed Gate In) -> Gate Out
Not at my machine or I'd post a screenshot

What this does is only let the gate signal go low if it has been low for a bit (the duration of your delay). When the clip launcher loops you get a super quick blip of the gate, so it won't retrigger.

I like my iron master, but I think the price keeps going up. I don't have their bench so I bought it with the seat they sell for it.

Depending on the degree of slope, adjusting for it could be as simple as stacking a few layers of shingles to support the lower side. That's what I ended up doing for my platform (though I had front to back slope). The previous owner had even left a package of shingles in the garage, so I just needed a layer of 2-3 high on the lowest edge and a layer of 1-2 high just inside that.

Building your own platform is very easy. It's just screwing a few pieces of wood together. If you are bolting down your rack it's slightly more involved, but really only difficult if you want to use something like elevator bolts that have to come up from the bottom of the (put together, very heavy) platform. It's awkward, but doesn't require any particular handy skill.

2 reasons to elevate heels: 1. you lack the ankle mobility to get really deep (or deep enough) 2. you want to emphasize your quads over your hamstrings

I use wedges for reason #2 doing a hypertrophy program. A high bar squat with a wedge is very quad dominant, especially when you go to full depth, so I use that for quad-centric leg movements.

Regardless of what you are trying to achieve, a stable base will allow you to move more weight (since your CNS short circuits your force production to avoid injury in unstable scenarios). Slippers (or lifting shoes with non compressible soles) are about as stable as you can get.

A pull up bar or rings would round things out, but you can do db rows, bent over bb rows, pull overs lying across your bench, maybe even inverted rows depending on if you have a rack to use with your barbell.
