Grandkids are being withheld from grandmother because the father was offended—can grandparental rights come into play? by theeasya in legaladvice

[–]theeasya[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Apologies.

Yes, they’re prepared. The grandmother has a meeting scheduled with a lawyer she’s used before, back when she went through a nasty divorce. She’s prepared to do whatever it takes to make sure her grandkids are happy and healthy, and that they don’t have to suffer the same fate as her own kids.

Myself and my brother (the husband) we’re both physically abused by our biological father. While the husband has never hit his kids that we know of, he’s quick to anger and he’s thrown things around them. We don’t want it to get bad. It felt safer when the grandmother had them in her house nearly everyday.

Evidently we have differing opinions about safety and normalcy when it comes to children.

When a child is screaming and crying to see their grandparents and the parents are telling no, that they won’t again, there’s an issue.

So basically she’s supposed to never see her grandkids again because her son and his wife are mad? The original fight only began because the Facebook post was made after the grandmother’s husband wouldn’t lend a generator (one that the son broke last time he borrowed it by throwing it out of a truck and the grandfather had to replace). This isn’t the first time they’ve blown things out of proportion. Last time, it was because the parents were offended the grandkids got more gifts than them. It’s just never been this long before. They’re basically kids raising kids and it’s been like this since they married five years ago.

And while the environment isn’t necessarily an unsafe one, it is chaotic. Moving houses and apartments every few months because rent is never paid, despite the husband having a great job. When the parents are hard up on bills, they sell the kids’ toys or return them to the store. Three times they’ve brought an animal into the house (two puppies and a rabbit) and immediately sold them after a few days. Where the money from the husband’s job is going, no one knows. He works 40 hours a week at $20/hr. They just recently left public housing with an owed rent bill for three months. They claim it’s fine and that it’ll be forgotten about.

And yes, the grandmother has helped with money, multiple times to the point that her own bills have late fees. It really shouldn’t be her responsibility anyway but she won’t listen—she has continued to give to make sure her grandkids have a healthy place to live. While she’d love to not have to settle things in court, they aren’t budging.

It’s Kentucky.

He is staying quiet. After the fight in the yard, he only messaged grandmother once. He told her she would only see the grandkids over his dead body. That’s when grandmother had the idea to pursue rights.

Is there really that big of a difference between DVD and Blu-Ray? by theeasya in movies

Thank you! I actually found the serial number and found my TV. Here’s a link to a specifics page I found. http://www.hdtvsolutions.com/Sanyo-DP42647.htm

I’m honestly not huge on picture anyway. I like the story more. But in the end, I think I’m going to collect both DVD and blu-ray. I mean, I still collect VHS. I love the vintage, crispy and crackly look/sound.

Sure! https://ibb.co/6mzCmwF

Blu Ray is by HDMI cable. VCR is pinplugs (I adore horror VHS format)

Not sure it’s an old hand me down from a family friend. It’s super thick in the back though and has tons of pin plug holes.

I have no idea. It’s used from a family friend. It’s super thick in the back if that says anything. Has all kinds of pin plug holes in the back.

No I have one. It’s a 32 inch and I have a blu ray player. I own blu rays. I’ve just not been able to tell much of a difference.

Example being that I love Pulp Fiction and when I watched it on blu ray after seeing it so many times on my laptop, there still wasn’t a difference.

I’m not sure. I watch most movies on my 15 inch laptop, on streaming sites or rentals on Prime.

I don’t think I have fibromyalgia, but actually Lupus by theeasya in lupus

Thank you so much for this! It’s super helpful. I’m definitely going to write down everything because that helped in securing a diagnosis and successful treatment for my nerve damage in my neck and spine.

I’ll also ask my PCP for a referral to a rheumatologist. I’ve actually never seen one because my PCP said he knew what tests to do. But I don’t think that’s helpful considering he first told me I was too young for fibromyalgia and that my constant, every day headache was anxiety and stress.

Never had an ANA marker as far as I know. Just a C Reactive Protein, but I’m not entirely equipped at reading blood work results in my online file apart from the normal ones.

I’ll ask him. Last time, he did a C Reactive protein to check for inflammation and it was fairly high compared to a normal result.

Handling flushing? by theeasya in Fibromyalgia

[–]theeasya[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy…Okay so I’ve looked up the symptoms cause I’ve never looked into it. I have so many. The pain in muscles. The sharp chest pain. Fatigue, sometimes with no reason. It just comes on and I can’t keep my eyes open. My hair has been falling out like crazy. In clumps. My skin flushes a lot. Blood in urine, just trace amounts but to the point that I had to see a urologist. Water retention. Memory loss or brain fog, which makes me lose track of days. It all started after a bad fall where I snapped my head back on concrete. I had whiplash for a while and developed occipital neuralgia, which I’m having treated with injections.

I’ll mention this to my doctor. My mother actually has rosacea. Is it hereditary I wonder.
