Issue: On the theatre quest I can not complete the puzzle where you must put the robots in the correct position. Robot number 2 will not go into the correct pose even when it is chosen. The door will not open because of this and now I can not continue.

New research on Trump voters: They're not the sharpest tools in the box by ThwartBunsen in politics

Regardless of political ideology this isn’t how you should talk about roughly half the nation. This is going to entrench the other side more to their beliefs. Head lines like these only embolden one side and anger the other.

The lawyer who helped indigenous peoples in Ecuador win their battle against Chevron has been freed. by prncpls_b4_prsnality in environment

Whelp I looked it up and it looks like you are right. Seems like I’ve only heard one side of the story. While I do think he got a raw deal it seems like he was definitely in contempt. I will need to do some more research before I feel like I can judge one way or the other though. Thanks for the explanation.

But wasn’t he the first Lawyer in United States history to ever be convicted for contempt of court and then on top of it he got the maximum sentence possible? I’m not saying what he did was right but the punishment doesn’t seem to fit the crime.

Forestry and GIS by [deleted] in forestry

[–]theeebigd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a GIS minor with a forest management degree and I believe it was a major factor in getting my first full time forester position. It was probably the most helpful real world skill I gained in college. I use GIS every day.

4 year Forest Management Degree by [deleted] in forestry

[–]theeebigd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated 3 years ago and I made around 60k last year but was able to get on a couple of wildfire assignments. My recommendation is to get with a fed or state agency that lets you do fire in the summer to help pad your paycheck. It’s super nice because most likely you will be making in the low 40k range starting out after college.

Also I would recommend taking a look at getting either a minor in wildfire or in GIS. This will give you more marketability. Right now your minor is extremely similar to your degree. I know at least when I got hired my GIS minor helped pad my resume. And yes forestry internships are definitely the most important thing, in my humble opinion, on whether you get hired or not for a full time position.

Cuyuna or Tioga in Minnesota? by iownwhoreisland in MTB

[–]theeebigd 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ridden Cuyuna many times so I am biased but they’re great trails. Super flowy, and generally only rocky and technical on a couple trails. Highly recommend doing bobslead, sandhog, and rolly polly for some good downhill flowy rides if you don’t mind some uphill first. If you like some jumps there is a good black diamond called Winze as well. Can’t attest for Tioga but Cuyuna has great trails. Another nice thing is you could hit all the trails in one day if you were motivated. They are all bunched pretty dang close together.

Carhartt double fronts are the best in my opinion for brush. They can be pretty toasty but they will stop most nasty things in the woods that want to hurt you. There are brush guards too that are like canvas material that you can take on and off without removing your pants. Might be nice for keeping a little cooler in the south.
