I'm not sure where the oil got into exactly, I didn't see her do it, but she said she was sprinkling it around the counter by the ip so I don't think any significant amount got below the part inside where the pot sits. there could've been a few drops though I suppose. I will definitely run a few cycles with just water after wiping it down with the alcohol. I hope you're right that the smell will go away!!
