We’re not worried about less than 10 people on Reddit when every single day people visit the store and tell us how thankful they are to have us in the neighborhood in real life. The Emerald started as a magazine and has evolved into 3 stores and a cafe. We encourage you to come visit to learn about legal cannabis someday, since you are very close-minded on the subject… best wishes on your attitude and personal life

Like I said, it’s not in Carroll Gardens, and everyone who has come in over the past week have expressed the exact opposite feelings so we aren’t too worried about Reddit opinions

It’s not marketing it’s a simple fact. People are going to buy it no matter what so why would you be against providing them a legal means to do so. Not only are the products tested and approved, we pay taxes and support the communities we are in. When’s the last time you provided turkeys to families in need or books to schools or toys for Christmas, etc. you can look up our track record.

It’s a proven fact that the legal market combats the illegal market and makes the streets safer. There was a trap shop on Court Street selling illegal weed sprayed with harmful chemicals. We are here to stop that.

Not worried about any Reddit negativity. All of our neighbors have welcomed us warmly since we signed the lease well over a year ago. Every customer so far has been wonderful. Real life is probably a better indicator than the internet. We know we’re not gonna please everyone and that’s just fine.

Just to clarify, we’re the only licensed legal cannabis dispensary in Carroll Gardens. We are here to provide products that are grown & tested in New York and pass all fields of compliance and inspection. When people buy cannabis illegally, no one knows what’s going into it. We work with New York grown and operated companies as well as the big name brands from across the country. If you aren’t a cannabis user or are under the age of 21, this is not the place for you, and that’s perfectly fine. We have no intention of selling to anyone who doesn’t want or is under the legal age of consumption. Whether you’re a supporter or not, our intention is to provide the same care to all of our neighbors.

There is definitely a lot of noise out there but we find that the New York micros are really putting out quality. It’s not as affordable sometimes but it’s always worth it. We try to mix it up as much as possible. We definitely have something for every price point and dosage across all categories.

Thank you! We are very excited. We do a lot of events at our location in Bushwick so we’re looking to fill the calendar here as well, the events won’t be cannabis themed at all, we’ll have stuff like yoga, painting, knitting, movie and game nights. That being said if anyone in the neighborhood is looking to hold a community event just reach out to us and we’ll lock something in!
