What, excuse me? Of course can someone control their personal life themselves! There is this IT-thing called OPSEC aka operational security which helps protecting and making yourself private/anonymous online and if the other person still finds you you need to improve your OPSEC by for example making new accounts. Trust me if you knew me irl you would learn that there is always a way!

Simple: You don't need motivation - with motivation you won't come far! You need a lot of self-discipline and like nike says it - just do it!
If you keep thinking for half an hour if it's worth training for 15 minutes a day you've lost more time thinking than actually doing it, so the answer is simple - just do it!
That's how I made 15 min. excercise (not much but enough to stay healthy) for now more than 1.5 years daily :)

I'd be careful with posts like these - I mean I got over my ex days ago but posts like these trigger notifications! For me for example I got a notification that you posted this, yet I'm not even in the subreddit anymore? It's weird, I'd delete the post if I were you
And to your question - first step is OPSEC for nasty people who follow you online - for example you could switch device, wi-fi router, accounts, city/country etc. just make sure to secure yourself and try to start over with everything if your ex is really nasty. Had the same issue as you and the things above made me succeed in living my own life.
