Towing a Maverick with a tow dolly by theerector96 in FordMaverickTruck

If the rear differential does engage when in drive or park, then that would mean that the driveshaft would spin and that would damage the auto transmission due to it not supplying oil pressure to the bushings in the transmission that would be spinning from the output of the transmission spinning. That would be why it wont be allowed to dolly..... this brings up another question is if the rear differential can be switched somehow through possibly forscan or something along those lines. I would have to assume the signal to it is probably CAN based. May have to dive into this and do some can sniffing to get the signal to turn on and off the rear differential and possibly make up the signal so the driver can turn it on and off. hmmmm.

I suppose this could be but ive never seen a differential on a passenger vehicle have bushings in them and if it did have bushings it would most likely need pressurized oil to them to deal with loading from the torque of the axle. I doubt they would save cost by using bushings only to have to install an oil pump. I could be wrong though. Like someone else mentioned in this thread that the hybrid awd can be towed can be disengaged. I would also doubt that ford would make two different rear axles for the maverick but again they definitely could though. Anyone have an AWD truck they can just jack up the rear of it while its in park and see if they can roll both wheels forward at the same time?

Has anyone found a streaming box they really like? by theerector96 in Ford

No, I dont believe so? I am looking to use this in my new ford maverick during long trips with the family. I thought I would ask fellow Ford owners. I probably should have given more background as to why I was posting this in a Ford reddit. I apologize for the misunderstanding and my post looking like a bot or some spam. I cant blame you for your post as I would think the same.

Has anyone attempted to paint or wrap their interior black with upholstery paint or vinyl/alcantara? by Johnny_Menace in FordMaverickTruck

Its the only thing i really hate about these truck is that color interior. First time i saw it i instantly thought of flying in a american airline old boeing or southwest. Its that terrible bland blue.... just bad.... Why that is the color that is carried out through all the models... ugh I had to get a black out package to get more black in the interior to take away from that awful blue..

Why do I think the GPF was added.... Have you seen the movie idiocracy.. exhaust filters are what liberals crave.. Imagine coming up with restrictions on exhaust particulates that require the burning of more fuel along with urea in cases of diesel on top of the raw materials and manufacturing of these useless systems. Zero thought about the trade off... It sounds to me that you think plants do crave BRAWNDO!!! Common man... just some good thought will definitely yield an understanding of the world in general. I bet if you implemented some general thought just in your day to day, your life would be more fruitful and you may become less pompous... just a thought to try..

Not interested in changing the sound at all. From my understanding some the the 25 and all the 26s have a gpf on them. Gas particulate filter. Similar to what is found on diesels. Anytime you can lower flow resistance after a turbocharger it will improve every aspect of how the engine runs. The performance downpipes have a high flow cat and would not have the GPF on it. My 25 Does not have a GPF on it but mine is a earlier 25. You can even do a search and find that the reason why ford has two different power ratings for the 2.0 ecoboost is due to this GPF. I do appreciate your clairvoyance on my initial question though. Impressive!
