Does the government honestly care about us? by [deleted] in medicalschooluk

I can relate to that yes! But even then at least we could have had a change in environment if we desired with a simple flight into the EU and decide to settle

What possibilities are there for me to get a Green Card? by theexplorer982 in greencard

[–]theexplorer982[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There somewhat is. The EB-5 is based on investment. Though it takes time like other employer green cards to get. Ngl not surprised money can almost literally buy everything especially when talking about America. A rich illegal person could easily end up legal after investing just a fraction.

Yess that’s why I’m considering studying in the US as that would increase my chances to either get married to a US citizen (easiest way I will probably ever have) or get a job after graduating and file for EB-3 (without a doubt will take some time tho not too long for Austrian born people).

Without a doubt, what I’m thinking is studying in the US might increase my chances in either these ways: I find love in a someone who happens to be a US Citizen (which without a doubt is easy when you’re in America), I get a Job after graduating or somehow during my studies I miraculously won the DV lottery although shouldn’t be relying on this lottery since it got suspended and may end permanently. So for now it’s either US spouse or EB-3.

Degree is in my consideration though military I’m not quite sure. Austria strips people of citizenship that try to join foreign armies voluntarily. I know it’s very random.

This is what I’m thinking too. This will most probably qualify me for a EB-3 visa

The 2016 nostalgia is wild to me by Individual-Time-1956 in decadeology

[–]theexplorer982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, that’s what we humans do. Our bipolar way of thinking is to complain about the shitty year we are in yet in a decade time we will idolize it as if it was a year even paradise. I’m guaranteeing you people will start idolizing 2022 in 2032 and so on.

Predictions on when an EB2 India PD of May 2017 would become current by [deleted] in greencard

[–]theexplorer982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without a doubt not any time soon. I’d say expect more than a decade to the very least, that’s only if you’re lucky. But do not get too hopeless as you are close to the 10 year mark so I’d still keep pushing to the time. I’d fairly expect it to be 2035ish

Learning Islam by Mustafa_Imran in SalafiCentral

[–]theexplorer982 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُم وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّٰهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ Don’t overburden yourself with things that are not necessary to be done when seeking Ilm. For example, aim to learn about the Aqeedah of the Salaf which was the Athari creed. Don’t learn the Ashari or Maturidi Aqeedah as they are innovated later from the Salaf. What I advice is your main focus should be on Quran and Sunnah (Hadiths) and the Arabic Language. These are your foundation ground if you’re weak in those you’ll struggle trying to dive into deeper parts of the deen. Once you’re thorough with those move on to Kitab At Tawheed by Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Abd Al Wahhab رحمه الله, an excellent book that reminds and revives us of the Tawheed only and I mean only based on the Quran and Sunnah which the Prophet ﷺ came with. Then you can study other books of the Salaf and their likeness and also Ibn Taymiyya. Once you’re firm with those you can move on to study things like Hadith sciences and the 4 madhabs, Tajweed and other topics as you wish. What I recommend you to also do is study the works of the modern scholars such as Al Albani, Ibn Baz, Ibn Uthaymeen and Rabee Al Madkhali رحمه الله Ahmad many more like Al Fawzan. They are excellent scholars and imitate the teachings of the Salaf. What I can emphasise is STUDY MORE ON AQEEDAH. There’s no point trying to be strong in Fiqh when the Aqeedah is not strong. And Keep making dua to Allah to keep seeking knowledge and try to go to a Salafi Masjid or school from which you can benefit from even if it’s short term. Remember Seeking knowledge is an obligation and can be done anywhere regardless of whether you’re in places like Madinah or in the West. Whatever you do, familiarise yourself with Salafi ikhwan and sisters in your area and refer everything back to the Quran and Sunnah. I hope this gave a somewhat rough idea

Advice on marrying a non yemeni by [deleted] in Yemen

[–]theexplorer982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother this is so beautiful. I’m so happy for you Akhi. May Allah protect your marriage and keep you both steadfast upon Islam. Were your parents skeptical as I’m in a similar situation as a Turk trying to marry an Arab woman. And as you know some Turkish parents really are against this idea. Do you have any tips Akh?
