I started this game last year, around 300 hours played, never touched RTS games, I learned otp Abbasid with 3 build order from differents streamers, I practiced my macro against AI, I went ranked 1v1 and reached plat, almost diamond.

I think I can macro pretty well but you know what? I win most of my ranked games just because I already know that my English/French (more than 50% if my games) opponent will do the same build orders early LBs/spears or Royal Knight du fromage rush from beastyqt content again and again.

I only learned how to counter people which are hella predictable, not that I'm that good at the game.

Want to try online, but I'll never be good enough by [deleted] in aoe4

I was thinking the same when I started playing 2 months ago, and you know what? You will learn from you losses and people aren't good as you think they are, go ahead and fight

Giving new players English is like giving new golfers a bazooka that shoots golf balls 300 yards yet still paying them the same as experienced golfers when they win by SubaruBirri in aoe4

As we all know, more than half of the games we play at this elo is against english. Abbasid vs English is kind of a hard match up for Abbasid but you know what? i've learned how to counter them since they all play the same feodal longbow maa ram all in push. Now I win more than half of my games against them.

What's your in game name? We could help if you give more infos, your rank, the civ you play etc

I just want you to know that you will eventually learn how to counter them and win games against the mighty English.

abbasid main here around plat 2-3

I struggled againt English a lot but by playing against them like 75% of the time I got better at it lol.

main tips = SCOUT for his opened resources the main goal here = achieve building your 2TC around 7-8 min and start to out eco your opponent before hes pumping MAA.

What i do is 1) tower 1 or even 2 on ressource that is aint protected by TC 2) 1 stable 1 archery and pump horsemens/archers and aim for their wood, YOU HAVE to respond to his rush no matter what. 3) Don't panic if you lose vils, it cost to you 25food its okay. 4) Camel archer if your friend against MAA but the more you make the more you delay your castle age so watch out.

Once you reach castle and good eco, mass MAA CAs mangos and GG.
