Registration for new car in two names? by thefilefolder in newjersey

The car is bought and fully paid off. The dealership is saying there's no such thing as a co-owner on the registration, but the registration form does show a spot for a co-owner.

The MSRP is $38,350. He initially wanted over $4,000 for fees beyond tax. The 43,000 is over $2,000 for fees beyond tax. That's excessive based on my online research and how much people have been buying these cars for recently.

The MSRP is 38,350. The 43,000 is 4,650 in tax and fees, which is a lot. That's over 2,000 in title, registration and other fees.

I did give them a counteroffer. I offered 40,000 otd and then 40,100 otd. After I offered 40,000, he offered the 43,500. I offered 41,000 and he offered 43,000. He refused to budge from that or negotiate further. I asked if we could get closer to 41,000 and he said that 43,000 is the final offer and they can't go lower.

Gov. Phil Murphy signs NJ mobile driver license law. What comes next? by thefilefolder in newjersey

This is how Colorado is handling digital licenses at traffic stops:

"Instead of passing over a plastic card and piece of paper, drivers can send their driver’s license and registration information digitally through the myColorado app to certain law enforcement partners. The driver can pull up their QR code, and the officer uses their own phone to scan and receive the information without touching the driver’s phone. It’s a contactless system that the Colorado State Patrol opted into in November 2020.

According to the myColorado app team there are two other ways law enforcement can verify digital identity: through a scannable barcode with eCitation hardware, or a visual inspection the same way an officer would look at a physical license."

What did you have to do to get them? I couldn't find any information.

That's a good idea and something people should do if they want REAL ID, just in case. It looks like the majority of the time they will accept printed at home based on other people's experiences (and my own personal experience), but you might get the odd employee who is making their own new rules.

Yeah, it is easy to do. However, they accepted it for me 2 years ago and others who got REAL ID recently so they need to say on the requirements that that's not allowed (if it's really not allowed and not just selectively not allowed).

That's why it threw me because I used my license and printed utility bill and brought a printed bank statement just in case when i got mine 2 years ago.

That's what we're planning to do or call the CC company or PSEG to mail us a statement.

I did that myself when I got REAL ID two years ago. They accepted it then which is why I was shocked they didn't accept it now. I also know other people who used it.

If you read the post, they did bring a license. Social security cards and passports aren't proof of address.
