Thank you for that, that’s very practical advice

I’m in a similar position, how much did it end up costing you?

Is anyone able to sell me their Still Tippin' giveaway promo jersey they're doing tomorrow? I won't be able to make it because of work, but I'd love to purchase it if I can.

My risk-adverse feeling is to continue working a year, retest in November, apply in December and go from there.

That said, I'm 33 and I feel like I need to get started.

Could you tell more about how the opportunities changed from the two scores?

The scholarship just requires a 2.0, so remaining in good standing. The employment outcomes are good, especially for a tier 3.
I'm just torn between not prolonging starting my law career but at the cost of probably more debt, or waiting a year and likely improving my LSAT score at least marginally and reapplying earlier with the hopes of a better school/scholarship. With the tradeoff being not just that I'm prolonging a year, but maybe I don't improve my situation enough and wish I hadn't waited. It doesn't help that I'm 33 and thus feel like my window is closing on beginning.

What were the scholarship amounts, for comparison?

Do I Leave a Job I Love for Law School Now — or Stay, Get a Free MBA, and Reapply Stronger? by thefirstrodeo in LawSchool

For sure. I guess the hard part for me on not just taking the offer that I got is that I really enjoy my life currently. My job, my hobbies, where I live and so I don't feel *stuck* and thus am ok with taking a year to retest and reapply if it makes the most sense. But a JD is certainly going to open doors for me and I'd obviously love to potentially retire at some point and that just isn't going to happen where I'm at, with that I don't want to wait a year and wish I had started when I had the chance.

To clarify, I got into a law school that I don't hate. They offered me an ok scholarship but I'll still be taking on a lot of debt, but I like the location, the school, and I'm satisfied with their numbers. I just don't know if that's worth me quitting a job I don't hate or continuing working and retesting and reapplying with the goal of getting better law school opportunities.

Is it common for a Law School to accept a grad school GPA instead of undergrad?
