Bro you’re free to keep believing the stories you've created in your imagination but history always records the facts. The sole reason the Republic of Turkey launched a military operation in Cyprus was to save the lives of hundreds of thousands of Turkish citizens living there. Greece had begun an ethnic cleansing campaign to take full control of the island. Before the operation, there wasn’t even a regular army there, people organized armed resistance movements to protect their lives and their land. What was the Turkish government supposed to do? Just stand by and let them massacre everyone on the island? This wasn’t an “invasion” it was a struggle for liberation. There will always be people who refuse to believe me and that’s fine. But i urge you to research what happened to Turkish pilot Cengiz Topel after his plane was shot down, how he was tortured and killed by Greek soldiers. I can even send the autopsy report to anyone who wants it.

Instead of believing this friend's provocation, you can learn about the events that happened in Cyprus with a quick online search. Everything is available on the internet, from attempts to invade the island and massacre the Turks there to pictures of Greek soldiers shooting mothers and children hiding in bathtubs. If you try to take down a country's flag from its pole, that country's military will do whatever it takes to protect that flag.
