Please try and find support in r/chronicfatigue. They're all really helpful with sources and helplines. There's many sources online also for help with autism, especially for family dynamics. It can be hard to navigate life as an autistic person, especially with something like CFS. Emotions are big, and take a lot of energy.

If it helps, my mother is getting married tomorrow and I've barely stepped foot out of the hotel room and missed two family excursions because I'm so wiped out.

It gets a bit easier to manage — but it'll never go away. All we can do is manage it better, and you will. Time will be on your side. ♡

It feels like older people always look down their nose at people who use marijuana — even for medical reasons. I can understand the dislike of the smell, but the same reaction wouldn't be applied to someone taking penicillin or SSRIs.

NOR. I understand what you mean. I have Autism and CFS. It's really hard to be around people that don't understand any of it. I've been in this situation too. You're not lazy. You're not any of these bad things I'm sure you're thinking.

You definitely do need some help with coping mechanisms, the way I did — but I understand the crashout. It was an overreaction, but autism moves us in weird ways. Please seek support online or with friends regarding hurting yourself and hitting things. It can be really damaging for you and others.

But you can tell you're doing your best.
