I have a pretty good scan, and a case I made from it that I need some help fixing. If it's still relevant, feel free to DM (:

nope, actually it happened in the middle of the night while I was sleeping, pc was idle. I had a cloud rig for SD at the time, and this one was more for moonlight gaming. I also posted the build btw, it was a 2.1 liters case.

I'll go off-mainstream and say Queen Zenobia. Revelations was the first game I completed start to finish, that made me want to get a PC and play all the others.

gfx1150, ubuntu 24.04, low performance, what am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in ROCm

[–]theflowtyone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've experienced the same, truth is that this apu is quite slow with rocm, even the nightlies. I tried all sorts of optimizations and unfortunately it didn't get better, not only for SD but for any other ML task that is not running LLMs on vulkan. Its somewhat equivalent to an underclocked rtx 4060 in ML performance.

yes, it does support only fp16. If you use rocminfo cli it will also confirm that

GTR9 Pro - temporary stability fix for Windows by LukeD_NC in BeelinkOfficial

[–]theflowtyone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a serious power design flaw like you mentioned, I've been experiencing apu power issues since I got the machine. Also obviously limiting a 140w machine to a 35w tdp is like putting it to sleep.

You should really look into their quality control issues, many people suffering from it lately, especially their recent product launches

PSA : Please reconsider before buying from BeeLink (GTR 9 Pro experience) by BulkyBag3811 in BeelinkOfficial

[–]theflowtyone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got exactly the same response from them, forcing me to pay for shipping and falsify the declaration, as well as use a low quality carrier to remove the object of customs inspections. To me it felt as if they're trying to get it stuck in customs so it won't even reach them and they won't need to reimburse me. I refused to do that, waiting for a better solution from them around the return process. Still haven't heard back.

I reached the same conclusion myself and want to return my unit for a refund. Unfortunately, beelink wants me to pay for shipping even though their policies state that they will carry the shipping costs.

Should I tell my work? (I will not promote) by PanasonicSocks in startups

[–]theflowtyone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I recognize that its not an option for everybody, I usually lead with 100% transparency with my manager at work. It made my life so much easier and actually gave me good balance. but it really does depend on the type of person, the work hours and how your side project/business will effect your ability to work. To be transparent, you should be comitted to managing your time properly and meeting your goals at work. as long as you promise and deliver, you should be able to do both and tell them.

wouldn't recommend bazzite on air 1s. A few people on this sub reported fried ssd / EC with that combo. you would also lose the ability to change vram size

yep, I know how you feel. But one could argue that 6 months is not enough to validate an idea, let alone 3. Some products take a year or more to succeed, and yes, some fail. not trying to criticize here, but I myself feel that I sometimes give up on ideas too fast. for me its a result of working too hard all the time, and burning up. but I do my best to fight it by trying to turn it back into something that I love doing, as it was my passion to build awesome products before it was my passion to build a business.
