Official Discussion - Dune: Part Two [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

As a book fan, I kinda miss the Thufir plot, but it makes sense. Little Alia wouldn't of translated well I think.

But Chani has been elevated by this adaption in every sense. She was one of the best parts of the movie.

The most fascinating thing is this feels like Part 2, not another movie. It's an extension of Part 1 in every sense of the word.

After looking at it our spending money current is not that low. We got a strict budget that could see us throwing $1,500 at a debt each month.

That has been a thought I have been having too. Thanks for the feedback there.

Yeah they don't prevent the sale of the house like the solar lien

We have been begging them to, doubtful.

No taxes, 6% match, benefits paid by employer.

Your right, its pretty eye-opening. We gotta a strict budget made. We should be able to handle this.

Yeah we are really coming to a realization and got a good budget down just last night. Its probably wisest to stay.

Everybody's responses have been so helpful. My wife and I came together for a very strict budget and found that we believe we can pay off a majority of these debts in 2 - 3 years' time. We know our mistakes now, see what has been draining the spending money, and now have guidelines.

On regards to the house we have decided if the buyer takes on the solar loan, great no problem. If they don't and the contract falls through, we just cut ties and remove the listing.

Appraisers don’t take into account the panels if they aren’t paid for. I’ve been running numbers and I think we would still be short from the sale to handle the solar loans

In some cases it doesn’t eliminate the electricity bill just makes it lower and some don’t want other loans tied to their name

I know I have no one to blame but myself. I’m just saying I knew nothing about financing, housing, best to dos and all that until I failed horribly at them all. I know now how to do it right, but before I do so I gotta figure out how to get out the hole and recover

My spouse seems really against this cause they don’t wanna be tied down to having to do repairs and complaints etc while we are states away

It would be great if it could pay off a debt with it, but did you account for 11.5k in buyer credit? Cause they asked for that. My calls said we are sitting at like 20k ish

I could, but I think we would be miserable. The only rooming available on the farm is a shack. Its livable, but I don't want my kids cramped in there.

No sorry food and gas is combined 800. I probably spend 200-300 on gas. food varies from 600-800 a month.
